Tito Ortiz Steps Down As Cris ‘Cyborg’s’ Manager

Tito Ortiz took to “Inside MMA” on Friday night to announce that he has resigned as Cris “Cyborg” Santos’s manager. Tito has cited his historical rocky relationship with UFC President Dana White as a big reason for why “Cyborg” was not signed onto the UFC roster therefor Tito is putting some space between himself and “Cyborg” to help re-launch her career.

Here is the official statement Tito gave to AXS TV:

“I can live with Dana not liking me but what I can’t live with is Dana using me to hurt someone else. I’ve taken abuse and maybe I deserved some of it but Cris is a beautiful person and great athlete and doesn’t deserve to be insulted like this.

I don’t understand how Dana lets his hatred towards me hurt the UFC and the fans by not making this fight.

He accuses her of still using banned substances and say that she isn’t worthy of fighting Ronda yet a year ago he personally called me to make the fight happen.

I never said she would die if she made 135 we just repeated what the Dr. said that Cris shouldn’t make a career at 135 we offered a 3 fight deal they said no 7 fights or no deal.

Regardless, I won’t stand in the way from the fans getting a fight they want and I won’t hold Cris back. So, I’m stepping down as Cris’ manager.

Now he can’t hold that against her.

I’m also tired of Dana accusing Cris of using banned substances. I challenge you to put up or shut up. Test her or stop lying about her. Cris is a beautiful woman inside and out. Don’t insult her on her looks. She may be tough as nails but she still has feelings.

I know people are going to say there goes Tito making this about him again, but it’s not, it’s about Cris Cyborg- the baddest woman on the earth – soon to be multi-sport world champion.”

Cris Cyborg’s next scheduled bout is set to take place at Lion Fight 14. The event is to air on AXS TV on March 28th.

After the harsh comments that Dana had to say about Cris “Cyborg” it’s hard to think that Tito was his sole inspiration in not signing one of the best female fighters we’ve ever seen. Only time will tell, but will be here to bring you the story!

Wasn’t she ALREADY caught for substances after a long period of time where people were pretty sure she was one them?

This can only help her career; Tito had a great chance to ride off into the sunset and never be heard of again, but now he’s ruining his already tarnished career with bullshit like this.

  2. Danny says:

It may be mean and stuff, but logic agrees here. She may not be using now. Look at her
jaw how big it is, her head size. Her bone structure. She was busted before for using steroids but what about all the other times she didn’t get caught. Her body has changed so much from that of a woman’s frame it’s crazy. Her voice is deep as well. Maybe she is clean now.

Dude, the fact that 2 years after testing positive for PEDs she still has the same musculature, and arguably less body fat, would indicate that she’s still using, and that nothing has changed; except for her ability to pass the test….. Titos’ call to Nut up or shut up is a bluff!

I bet cyborg fired him but he begged her to let him resign instead
