Tim Sylvia Books Andreas Kraniotakes as Rizzo Replacement in ProElite II

As we announced earlier today, Pedro Rizzo was forced to withdraw from his scheduled meeting with Tim Sylvia due to an arm injury suffered while training.
ProElite officials took little time to book the replacement and have none other than German import Andreas Kraniotakes to fill the main event void.
ProElite II is set to go down November 5th from the iWireless Center in Moline Illinois. Five-time Champ Tim Sylvia will now face Andreas Kraniotakes in the evening’s main event (after his original opponent Pedro Rizzo was forced to withdraw due to injury) and a featured bout between Andrei Arlovski and Travis Fulton will serve as the co-headliner.
Kraniotakes, who is the winner of three straight fights disclosed his participation to sherdog.com this afternoon and stated…
“My fans have been asking me to make my U.S. debut for a long time now. I want to thank ProElite for not only making it happen, but putting me in their main event with one of the biggest names in the heavyweight division. When I got the call, I had to sense the moment and told Rich that I’ll have to take counsel with my pillow about the fight before I could give my final answer. The more I got used to the idea, though, the more I understood that the moment I’ve waited for was finally here. This is a great breakthrough opportunity for me. It’s been an incredible year so far and I will try to end it with a bang!”
