Tim Boetsch Out To Prove He Is A Title Challenger By KO’ing Lombard | UFC NEWS

“Knocking out Hector Lombard proves I’m next in line for a middleweight title shot. Honestly, I don’t mind flying under the radar. I like coming into these fights as the underdog. I know Hector’s the favorite and that’s fine by me. I like surprising people. I think this fight with Hector is gonna streamline my path to the title.”

Tim Boetsch talks about his upcoming fight against Hector Lombard at UFC 149, his place in the middleweight division and much more with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani at the UFC 149 open workouts.

    Boetsch all day.

I think Lombard is overrated, but I’d say Boetsch definitely is. If Lombard starts lighting him up like Okami was, he’s the one getting knocked out. I don’t think Boetsch would make it past Bisping, Sonnen, or Weidman, so if he does happen to get past Lombard, it won’t help much.
