Word is bj barely pays these guys. Oh and some not at all. Wtf. Take care of your people. And yes I’ve seen it first hand in Hilo hi where I live
We fight to fight not for the cash,,, f–k the money its a pride thing a brown thing.
Really. A brown thing. Wow. I will give you a dollar to fight a man who hates racists. Lol.
gotta love HI fights
How much could you pay them? I know BJ is born rich, but that doesn’t mean he can just give money away. The arenas in Kahului and Lahaina only fit a couple thousand people. Is BJ supposed to charge 150$ for a ticket so the fighters can get paid? There are no TV contracts or revenues. The only money coming in is from ticket sales, crappy local advertising, and thats it. After expenses, how much could you possibly pay?
Something is better than nothing. And don’t forget the vender revenues. And which one sells the most without paying booth fees. Bjpenn.com. I think contracts should be honored especially when it involves the talent.
I never new that amateur fighters get paid. Sounds like a profesional would. Hmmmmmm.
Then why agree to payment and not pay. Hmmmmm. You’re considered pro when offered monetary compensation let alone adhering to professional fight standards such as numbers of rounds and the duration of them. So find all your loopholes and exploit ignorance of fighters. All in the name of the almighty dollar. **** em funk em it don’t matter. I just thought Wait that’s the problem. I have morals and a conscience for all. Not just based on race or economic status. One love
Go run your own mma event and see how much money you make. If you’re lucky, you will break even, or else go bankrupt like the other promotions out there.
the sad truth of amatuer fights of any kind; boxing, muay thai or mma is that these fighters who although may not be professional… don’t get paid despite sacrificing their own time and dime while someone else makes money off of them…
Is there any way to watch Just scrap maui from Cali?
