Tibau vs. Nurmagomedov Set For UFC 148 In July

UFC officials have put together a lightweight bout between Gleison Tibau and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

It is the latest addition to UFC 148 set for July 7.

UFC 148 is expected to go down on July 7 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. In the headlining fight UFC champion Dominick Cruz will attempt to defend his title for a second time against Urijah Faber.

Tibau has found his stride in the UFC’s lightweight division. The American Top Team Fighter has now gone 5-1 in his last six outings with the lone loss coming at the hands of top contender Jim Miller. He is currently riding high off consecutive wins over dos Anjos, Oliviera and Pellegrino.

Nurmagomedov is more than just a name. This fighter hails from Russia and at 23-years of age has yet to taste defeat in his budding MMA career. He made his UFC debut with an impressive submission win over Kamal Shalorus this past January.
