The Ultimate Fighter Brazil episode twelve recap, In this weeks episode we will find out who Pepey will face in the final of the Featherweight competition. The two remaining Featherweights Hugo “Wolverine” Viana of Team Belfort and Rony “Jason” face off on this weeks episode.
We hear the opinions of both coaches firstly on Rony Jason. Wanderlei and Belfort praise his character as well as his skills inside the cage. Rony Jason says he is a fun loving guy but when he puts on his Jason mask he becomes a cold blooded killer. It is also revealed that he has been living in his local gym as he has no home.
Hugo “Wolverine” fights out of Luiz Dorea’s boxing gym, he has confidence in his stand-up and states that his movement and heart are also two strong suits he possess. He wants to keep the fight standing and utilize his kicks and Rony Jason also prefers a stand-up battle.
As their time in The Ultimate Fighter is coming to an end most of the fighters admit they are missing home.
This weeks special guest or guests is the Nogueira brothers. They are both wearing Team Belfort shirts and receive Team Wanderlei shirts as well.
Weigh-Ins at the weigh ins both fighters make the Featherweight Limit and the coaches are predicting an action packed bout.
Back at the house as they prepare for the fight another visitor appears, this time its Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Some of the fighters in the TUF house are star struck and many state “Shogun” as one of thier idols. Next we move to the fight.
TEAM BELFORT’S HUGO “WOLVERINE” VIANA (5-0) VS. TEAM WANDERLEI’S RONY “JASON” MARIANO BEZERRA (10-3)
Round One - Both fighters come out and its a very tentative start to the bout Rony Jason is trying to utilize his reach advantage keeping his opponent at range. Wolverine is looking to use his movement and darts in and out of range. Wolverine unleashes a flurry of shots however the combination is countered effectively by Jason who lands a solid shot. Not a lot of action to take note of however as the round progresses it begins to open up with both men attempting flying knees however nothing lands solid, the action is stopped as Jason is poked in the eye and he tells the doctor he wants to continue but tells Yamasaki he’s got blurred vision, but they fight on. At the restart both fighters now a lot more aggressive with Jason taking control before he moves into a straight punch from Wolverine dropping him however he quickly recovers and both men trade power shots before the end of the round.
Round Two - Another tentative opening to the round, but the pace soon changes as both fighters trade wild punches Jason has the edge in the flurry and Wolverine begins to move backwards covering up. Jason begins to settle and seems to have control of the round oppose to Wolverine who is now looking for one big shot to end it and loading up. Before the end of the round Jason shoots in and gets the takedown however has no time before the bell to do any damage from top position.
Round Three - Jason takes control of the centre of the octagon and begins to utilize more kicks keeping Wolverine at range Wolverine is still loading up on his shots moving in and out. Jason attempts to taunt Wolverine holding his hands up in the air and Wolverine punches him on the chin. The bout has a strange feel to it not high paced action but very tense as both men know what’s at stake. Jason is stalking Wolverine and landing some decent shots before he shoots and takes the fight to the ground Wolverine immediately scrambles back to his feet, as he gets back to his feet both fighters finish with a flurry trading punches before the final bell.

Rony “Jason” will now face Pepey in the Featherweight finale, the bout takes place at UFC 147. Jason promises to be sharper in his next bout and ays he would have given an arm or a leg for such an opportunity. Wolverine is upset and vows to carry on trying to attain his goals in the sport and he asks his coaches forgiveness.
The last bout of the series will take place next week and we will find out who will face Daniel Sarafian in the Middleweight final.
