The Ultimate Fighter franchise has a new champion.

Team Nelson’s Colton Smith decisively took out Canada’s top prospect Mike Ricci with a grueling three-round decision victory that displayed the Army Combative specialists superior grappling skill.

Top featherweight fighter Dustin Poirier returned to the cage and the win column tonight in an impressive first round stoppage over Ultimate Fighter winner Jonathan Brookins.

In heavyweight action Pat Barry came back in the second round of his bout against Del Rosario and earned a much needed knock out victory over the former Kickboxing world champion.

The main event delivered fireworks from start to finish. Unfortunately for fight fans, it only lasted about three-minutes, as Roy Nelson took an early beating of kicks from Mitrione before finding his mark and putting the Blackzilian trained fighter on the mat where he finished him off with strikes.
