Reigning UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is usually one of the most respectful and sportsmanlike mixed martial artists on the Ultimate Fighting Championship® roster. However, on today’s media conference call to promote what UFC President Dana White said is one of the biggest sporting events of the year – the July 7 UFC 148 main event against bitter rival Chael Sonnen – ‘the Spider’ sounded off like never before.

Irate at two years of taunting from Sonnen, Silva took the opportunity to sound a warning to the man who came within two minutes of taking his title in August 2010.

“I’m going to break his face and every tooth in his mouth,” Silva said through his interpreter and manager Ed Soares. “I know he’s on the call listening to this and playtime is over. There’s no more talking from him. I’m going to beat him out of the UFC. I’m going to make him pay for everything he’s said about me, my family and my country. I’m going to beat him maybe like his parents should have to teach him some manners. I’ll teach him those manners myself.

“No more sh** talking from him. Chael Sonnen’s going to get his ass kicked like he’s never gotten his ass kicked before. What I’m going to do inside the Octagon is something that’s going to change the image of the sport, I’m sorry. I’m going to beat his ass like he’s never been beaten before. This is going to be violent and I am sorry. I’m going to make sure that every one of his teeth are broken, that his arms are broken and his legs are broken. He’s not going to be able to walk out of the Octagon by himself. I can guarantee that. He will need a plastic surgeon afterwards.”

Sonnen was disconnected from the call but later said: “People can’t understand why I’m not getting caught up on the hype of Anderson Silva, but he can’t take the magazine covers and press stories into the Octagon with him. He’s just a man with two arms, two legs – and I’m going to beat him on July 7 because I want it more than he does.

“I don’t need anything in my life – but I have to have that belt. Everything I’ve done, everything I’ve worked for and sacrificed – everything I have in life – I would give it all away to be the UFC champion for just one night.”

UFC President Dana White said: “I’ve promoted every Anderson Silva fight since he’s been in the UFC in 2006, and I’ve never heard him talk even remotely like this. He is usually so respectful and doesn’t say anything negative or disrespectful. I’ve never heard Anderson talk like this once – and I’ve never heard Chael be so sincere about how bad he wants to win this fight and what it means to him to be the UFC world champion.”

  1. RhendO says:

I dont know man, We’ve never seen an angry Anderson. Maybe it will fuck up his mojo and make him fight like an idiot or maybe he will become a MONSTER!!! Either way LETS GO CHAEL!!!!!!

    • ballsackface says:

i get that feeling hes too emotional. every fight since valetudo and pride hes always been calm and collected.
if he does something stupid chael can capitalise.

there also is a concern that he might do a babaloo and not let go after a tap cos hes so angry he wants to tear his limbs off.

    • Axeholes says:

Here’s to one of the most anticipated UFC fights…nay, MMA fights ever!

Go Silva, but I do hope for an entertaining fight overall!

  2. Stratos says:

Yeah I agree RhendO, it could be Anderson fights to emotional and gets himself DQ’d or hes just so emotional he gets caught with something that could end his title reign. Yet in a logical sense of things it has shown that Sonnen has won, he did something no one else has done and thats get under Silvas skin and into his head. That is a huge psychological victory for any challenger.

  3. Cody says:

At the end of the day y’all can’t tell me Anderson hasn’t been pissed the entire time I don’t think he snapped I think he finally just voiced his feelings I feel Anderson has a lot more tools to improve his game plan from the first fight chael doesn’t not to mention he won’t be on roids I just can’t see chael winning this fight with how shitty he preformed against bisping but u never know

  4. chris says:

Anderson is finally being a man and speaking up..but it just shows that chael is in his head…you know the whole time he’s been pissed and trying to continue his pretending of being humble and respectful but now he shows his true colors. I’m sure GSP would never say this kind of shit no matter what was said about him..because he is genuine

  5. Bob says:

Andersom always feels like this towards chael but chose not to say it out loud until now. He is way too smart to fight emotional. I believe if he has a sub on chael hes not letting go until something snaps. Silva would beat all of your asses, he would never make a retarded mistake to fight with too much emotions. I swear how can you have a idiot assumption when hes the greatest of all time. He knows more than all you faggots!!

  6. BiG GARRETT says:

On July 7, 2012 the biggest fight in the 19 year history of the UFC will take place as the undisputed middleweight king Anderson Silva takes on his arch nemesis and the first “heel” in MMA Chael Sonnen. This fight is so widely spoke of and has attracted more fight fans then any fight before it including Silva vs Sonnen 1. All the talk and pro wrestling style banter from Chael and the until now soft spoken words of Anderson, two completely different men from different sides of the earth with so much hate for each that come July 3 they might have to hold the pre fight presser in different rooms because of the fear that these guys and gonna tear each other apart on the first sight of the other. Between the talks about who is training with who no one would have ever expected to hear that Steven Segal and STONE COLD Steve Austin would play a part in the craziness. Underneath all of this madness the fact that a classic striker vs wrestler match up is going to happen at 185 the hands down best striker in the world vs an unbreakable wrestler in every sense of the word. These two men have been training for two years to find each other again. Simply tearing through other opponents in order to get another round in the cage with the man they really want. Chael does his dancing outside the ring while Anderson does his inside the Octagon they are both dancing puppets for Dana White and the UFC they are just the best dancing puppets in the world because regardless if you are and MMA fan, a boxing fan, a WWE fan or not a fan at all you want to watch this fight because of the hype surrounding it because of the bad blood between these two guys because of the USA vs Brazil mentality of it all. I want to watch this fight because I believe every dog has its day and every great must fall. Even if Anderson gets his hand raised at the end and finishes his career unbeaten in the UFC there will always be a “who probably could have beat Anderson Sliva” talks by the media. Right now for anyone with a UFC contract, champion or not, the bar is Anderson Silva he is the Michael Jordan of MMA, but even MJ has lost a game or two and even now some say that Lebron is better then MJ like some say Jon Jones is better then Anderson no one truly knows who is better then Anderson until someone beats him and thats what Chael Sonnen has to do. Chael has the tools to beat Anderson its just can he catch Anderson again, can he close after 25 mins this time around without any mistakes, can Anderson do the spectacular things we have seen him do in the past yet again with Chael or will we see a king lose his reign? I guess we all just have to wait and see on July 7, 2012 who is the best at 185 and who really is the baddest man on the planet.

  7. True mms says:

Cheal shit his pants when he heard Anderson sound off. He knows he fucked up and know its time to man up and quit being a little shit talking bitch.

  8. Germainepropane says:

Anderson gets “emotional” in every fight. He gets hit a few times, gets pissed off and then starts getting funky with his hands and feet like he’s in predator mode, if you know what I’m referring to. It’s just that with this fight, he won’t need to wait for Chael to hit him first. So being “emotional” is only a plus for Anderson.

  9. Oh yea says:

Last time Anderson was really emotional he showed up a the Chute Boxing Gym with a shotgun in his hands waiting for Cordeiro to come out. So an Emotional Silva is a dagerous Silva and no one is safe Yves Lavinge won’t be safe Silva would probably go on a rampage

  10. CorneliusHelius says:

I have a feeling that this is what Chael wanted all along. To get Anderson pissed at him. It’ll be great fight none the less.

  11. jeff says:

True shit Tru mms its over for chael Dick riders

  12. 16v149 says:

Can aTitle change on a DQ ?

  13. slacker says:

Too bad the ref’s will jump in before he can break all his teeth, but he will destroy Chael! Maybe torture him for 5 rounds.

  14. Gazinga says:

wondering if the Muay Tai clinch and knees to the face will be rapid fire given the opportunity…Sonnen’s toughness could be tested by Anderson’s technical accuracy. Will not miss this one!!!!

  15. pk's says:

If Chael had finishing techniques instead of decision techniques it might matter that Anderson goes into the fight angry. But since that’s not the case, any part of Chael’s body that gets hit is going to hurt like hell, adrenaline or not. Elbow of death inc

  16. Xaninho says:

This is going to be bloody! He's going to torture Sonnen for 5 rounds, picking him apart until the eunuch quits. Or his corner will throw the towel.

    • Bear says:

being eunich and having hypogonadism are two different things dumbass. Plus have you ever seen a eunich the closes thing we have to the look of one is Overeem he went from that small LHW to SHW. But if Chael is a eunich as you keep spewing out then he would hand Silva his ass and his wife back to him.

  17. Gabi says:

Do you think Anderson is going to take his 2:30 minutes and then go or come out guns a blazing?

  18. BobbO says:

Anderson is gonna get his melon beat in just like he did in Oakland, Ca last time. Yeah sure, Anderson got the victory but that was after getting his ass kicked, and I mean ASS KICKED, for 4 1/2 rounds.

I was there, and he got dominated like nobody ever has done against him. I still think he’s a great fighter, but Chael beat him up Pretty bad.

Champions find a way to win though. If he beats Chael again, in any fashion, it will be a story book ending to his spartan career inside octagon.

Still know that his buddy Lyoto would whoop that ass any day though. 😉 ~BobbO

    • Gabi says:

Spartans never cheated. All natural men w/o excuses and no edges. Just hard training.
Oh yea Anderson was hurt and Sonnon was externally roided up. I see no Spartan in Sonnon maybe Anderson who fought injured and still won

  19. bob says:

    Fuck him up silva!!

  20. anxiety says:

This publication has inspired me to carry on working on my own blog
