Te Huna steps in for injured Bader, faces Teixeira at UFC 160 | UFC NEWS

James Te Huna has a chance to add a signature win to his fighting resume.
The UFC announced on Monday night that Te Huna will fill in for an injured Ryan Bader (knee) at UFC 160 where he will take on Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight bout.
Te Huna (16-5) has won four-straight, with his most recent coming over Ryan Jimmo last month on UFC on FUEL TV 7. Before that, there was a “Fight of the Night” victory over Joey Beltran. Te Huna has lost only once in his last 10 trips to the cage. That defeat came at the hands of light heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson by submission.
Teixeira(20-2) entered the UFC with much fanfare and has failed to disappoint. He is unbeaten in his three UFC appearances, with two finishes. Most recently, he earned a decision victory over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Teixeira is on one of the longest win streaks in MMA, having won 18 straight.
The May 25 event takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
The night’s action is headlined by a heavyweight title match pitting Cain Velasquez against challenger Antonio Silva. Mark Hunt, faces Junior dos Santos in the co-main event.

Wow. This has fight of the year written all over it. Both are dynamic and got great kicks. Maybe Pettis is a bit more quick and creative. I think Pettis moves and weathers the first 2 to 3 rounds and then takes Aldo out in the 4th or 5th.
Off subject much?
Yah weird, I thought I did this under the Aldo Pettis thread. maybe I just went full retard for a moment and posted it here. Sorry!!
But damn this is going to be an awesome fight too. Glover and Te Huna. Yah a good one. I know Te Huna is good but Glover seems on a roll.
Jimi Manuwa would knock them both out, in my opinion.
You dodged a bullet here Ryan….Glover would have sent you back a couple of cogs like Machida did. TeHuna can take some serious punishment as did Maldonado, but I think Glovers to much for TeHuna but props for taking the fight.
