Tavares vs. Jacoby Moved From Prelims To UFC 137 PPV Card

And alas, the UFC has put together next week’s UFC 137 main card. The latest addition to it comes way of Brad Tavares vs. Dustin Jacoby.
The two were originally scheduled to meet on the evening’s facebook stream portion of the preliminary card; however, GSP’s bad luck turns into these two middleweights good luck.
“UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz” is set to take place on October 29th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The pay-per-view event was set to feature a welterweight championship bout between George St Pierre and Carlos Condit. However GSP was forced to withdraw with a knee injury and in his place will come BJ Penn vs. Nick Diaz.
The Hawaiian born Tavares recently suffered his first professional loss at the hands of his UFC 132 opponent, Aaron Simpson this past July. The loss took his overall record to 7-1 with two of his wins coming in the UFC.
Jacoby is the UFC’s latest acquisition from the “HIT Squad”. He brings in a six-fight unbeaten professional MMA record.
