The Ultimate Fighter returned on FX with the fifth episode of the season – “The Reflection of Perfection”. The youngest man in TUF history, twenty-one-year-old Kelvin Gastellum made quite a debut on Tuesday night submitting Mixed Martial Arts veteran (Robert) Bubba McDaniel, 20-6 in MMA, in the second round.
In seemingly the best fight of the season so far, according to coach Chael Sonnen, Gastellum sunk in a rear naked choke at 2:38 of the second to secure his win over coach Jon Jones’ Albuquerque teammate.

It was a great back and forth battle. I love the part when Kelvin started to sink the rear naked choke on Bubba and Chael sounded surprised by saying, “crap, I think he actually has it.”

I agree with Big J. I actually want Sonnen’s team to win this. Jones is a douche and some of the guys on his team as well. I always disliked Sonnen because of his antics, but if this is the real Sonnen I think he’s a pretty nice dude actually. He’s very committed to his team and seems to genuinely care for his guys.
And so glad Bubba McDaniel lost. Sneaky with a mouth bigger than his skills.
