Struve, Hardy, Nelson & Sass Take Home $70K "Fight Night Bonuses" | UFC NEWS

UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir went down tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the main event JDS was able to take out Frank Mir via TKO in the second round to retain the UFC’s heavyweight title.
UFC officials just announced that they have given away $70,000 in “Fight Night Bonuses” to three fighters who took part in tonight’s event.
Earning “Submission of the Night” was Stefan Struve and instead of handing out a “Fight of the Night” bonus the UFC brass opted to give both Dan Hardy and Roy Nelson “Knockout of the Night” for their first round KO victories.
In a last minute decision the UFC also decided to give Paul Sass “Submission of the Night” as well for his first round victory over Jacob Volkmann.

Who do you guys think should’ve won Submission of the Night?
Sass. Obviously.
Na struves made more of an impression I think. I called that fight by the way. Everyone was talkin shit saying Struve was gonna get knocked the **** out.
same here, people gettin all hyped up on Lavar probably hadn´t seen his fights outside of the UFC… The guy is extremely dangerous BUT his ground game is extremely poor, Struve didn’t even have that armbar locked in yet, Lavar could’ve backed out of it but started punching Struve which just shows you that Lavar doesn’t have the Jiu Jitsu skills to hang with guys like Struve on the ground… I’d say let him fight Matt Mitrione next, maybe even Kongo.
Nice. But no live post fight conference?
what a dopeass ppv every single fight was good
you are correct sir!
Yes indeed, sir, he is in fact correct!
I’m so happy dan won
Word. I love the way he fights, glad he still has a future in the UFC…
I still can’t believe Mike Browns last 3 fights haven’t been televised. I’ve followed him for years since his time with Team Elite in Massachusetts. Former WEC champ that smashed Faber twice and still no TV time. Kind of crazy.
100% agree it sucks he retired
Great card, great fights! Even a few surprising upsets.
This was an amazing card that didn’t disappoint, well the only thing that disappointed me was Mir’s performance. But back to what I’m going at this was a great card they should do this atleast once a year, and even try and do it with other weight classes. Yet nothing will truly compete with the HWs
Should’ve gave Varner a bonus for performing like a stud last night, I’m glad he’s back on track he’s exciting to watch and talks a good game.
