“Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” Tickets On Sale This Week

Going to be in San Diego on December 17? If so, your chance to see live MMA action is upon you and tickets to the event go on sale this week.
Strikeforce officials have made the lightweight title fight between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal official for the December 17 date.
The event, which features many of the Strikeforce stars, takes place on December 17 from the Valley View Casino in San Diego. The main card will air on Showtime and feature a main event between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal for the Strikeforce lightweight title.
Tickets for the show start out at an affordable $45 and can go up to $175 per person
.
UFC Fight Club members can get in on the pre-sale action starting this Thursday at 1 p.m. ET and UFC.com and Strikeforce e-newsletter subscribers can purchase theirs just 24-hours later.
If you’re not one of the above mentioned subscribers, tickets open up to the General Public this weekend on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. ET.
While not yet official or complete, the “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” card is rumored to be as follows:
• Champ Gilbert Melendez vs. Jorge Masvidal (for lightweight title)
• Champ Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. Hiroko Yamanaka (for women’s featherweight title)
• Gegard Mousasi vs. Ovince St. Preux
• K.J. Noons vs. TBA
• Gina Carano vs. TBA
• Keith Jardine vs. TBA
