Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy Adds Nah-Shon Burrell vs Yuri Villefort
Welterweight Nah-Shon Burrell vs Yuri Villefort is the latest addition to next month’s Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy preliminary card.
Nah-Shon Burrell was tagged with his first Strikeforce loss when he suffered a first-round TKO defeat to Chris Spang in May. Prior to the loss, Burrell had a 6 fight win streak that included victories over over Joe Ray, Lukasz Les and James Terry.
Yuri Villefort opened his career with a 6-0 record, but was out of the fight game for 2 years due to injuries. Villafort suffered his first career loss to Quinn Mulhern in his Strikeforce debut back in May.
Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy takes place Sept. 29 at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, CA. Lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez faces challenger Pat Healy.
