The UFC 160 event just got a little lighter, as they have announced the addition of a Welterweight fight between Stephen Thompson and TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah. Until this announcement the only fights on the card were Heavyweights.

Sadollah brings a 6-4 record into the octagon, having lost two of his last three fights. His most recent fight was a decision loss to Dan Hardy on the UFC on FUEL TV 5 event. All ten of his professional fights have come in the UFC, and his career has been a bit of a disappointment so far. Sadollah has a Muay Thai striking background; however most of his victories have come by way of submission.

Thompson brings a 6-1 record into his third UFC appearance. He recently lost a decision to Matt Brown at UFC 145. Thompson is a highly touted kick boxer with a traditional karate background, but Brown was able to expose his ground game weakness. His kick boxing was highly regarded after he KO’d Daniel Stittgen in his first UFC match.

The Main Event of UFC 160 is a rematch between UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva, and the much anticipated fight between Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.
