Stephan Bonnar and Dave Herman Fail UFC 153 Post-Fight Drug Tests
The UFC has confirmed that both Stephan Bonnar and Dave Herman have failed their respective post-fight drug tests administered after UFC 153.
This is not the first failed drug test for either man as Bonnar was popped after the second Forrest Griffin at UFC 62 in August of 2006 for Boldenone. This time around he came up dirty for Drostanolone. Bonnar took the fight against Anderson Silva on short notice and was promptly dispatched in the first round. UFC President Dana White has recently said that Bonnar was going to retire.
Herman also took his fight against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira on short notice and was submitted in the second round which was his third loss in a row. His days were numbered anyway and coming up dirty again for marijuana certainly won’t help his chances. He tested positive before a proposed bout at UFC 136 against Mike Russow which caused the fight to be canceled.
Because Brazil doesn’t have an athletic commission the UFC was responsible for testing its fighters and 22 out of the 24 combatants were clean.
No suspensions have been issued at this time.

Anyways stephan bonnar on roids are bad mmmkay but since it was his retirement fight and got tkoed in the first round its ok for me. It makes andersons win even better somehow. Peewee fckin threw the fight the way he got rolled over like that , it looked really fake. Him being high might have contributed to that

Silva is above all when it comes to stand up. His wrestling is strong but not unbeatable but then you have his bjj that kills everybody. Juicing in my mind is taken by weak minded people. But anyone can cheat but not anyone be an elite fighter. It enhances what you already have. These enhancements are temporary. You do not get to keep the extra added power. Regardless He has to fight Jones. That would be thee fight!

Haha bang on. I saw the posts from people calling for him to be a HoF and how great he was. People have short memories, I still remember him on the first TuF. He’s a first rate douche bag, always picking on the weaker, smaller guys, bullying a 160lb Diego Sanchez…Even juiced up he still got completely dominated by Silva, it was pretty embarrassing stuff.
Bonnar taking roids is proof that roids do not win fights. It’s so stupid that people have that misconception that if a fighter/athlete takes roids that everything they’ve done nothing. Roids is only an enhancer, you can’t take a bum off the street and make him a champion (not that Stephan is a bum). Not to mention, there’s no way of testing fighters enough to make sure they’re clean, and many fighters can get away with it so who the **** cares who gets caught. If Anderson got caught for taking roids, would all you Anderson fans say he’s no longer the greatest? And that Bonnar would’ve beat him if he was clean? of course not, because that’s bullshit
oh well – he needed all the help he could get in that fight. didn’t do him much good though.
