St-Pierre Open To Random Drug Testing For Condit Fight? | UFC NEWS

Apparently Rory MacDonald’s induction into the VADA program has inspired TriStar Gym’s head coach, Firas Zahabi, who recently told Canadian media outlet that he wants UFC welterweight champion GSP to enter into the program as well.

“If Rory can do it, then why not Georges? Why not, let’s do it,” said Zahabi.

For their part, the Condit camp also agrees to a testing program according to the report, but opt for a more comprehensive screening process:

“Carlos is obviously interested in upholding the integrity of the sport. He would be more than interested to submit to testing, but we’d prefer to do it via the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) because we feel they are the most reputable drug testing organization in the world,” said Condit rep, John Fuller.

Will two more of the sports top athletes step up and get tested in an attempt to clean up the sport that as of late has been plagued with poor decision makers?

Stay tuned…

Good for you Georgie! That should shut a few mouths!!!

    • Bob says:

I am not saying that they are using PEDS or not but its so damn easy to get away with it these days… You dont have to cycle off and people got ways to beat it.. Not that I have done it..

  2. Me says:

I know this has nothing to do with this article but could someone tell me why the Anderson – Bonnar fight is a 3 round main event?

    • magoo says:

You been living under a rock bud? It’s a fight all mma fans have been dreaming about and now Dana’s finally gonna make it happen!!!!

      • Majestyk says:

I think he was asking why the main event was 3 rounds, as opposed to being 5. I thought Dana had said that as of 2012, all non-title main events were going to be 5 rounds.

        • 757 says:

Magoo just wants to fight like a little kid. He is the most gullible fool on. All you have to do is say one thing to him and he and his little girlfriends try to wolf pack people like little high school girls. Anyway if you are looking for an mma comment of worth don’t look at him. Watch he will jump all over this. He can’t help himself. That or he will get on under a different screen name or this screen name and act a fool. ha ha

        • magoo says:

@757 if your looking for a how do I get by in everyday life comment, read this tools shiaat!

      • Rampage 2877 says:

Your funny… I’m not being sarcastic. I actually laughed at both you comments. And took them for the light hearted joke they were.

      • BX81 says:

Really? I don’t recall anyone saying anderson vs. gsp, bones vs. anderson oh and what we really want is bonner vs. anderson. I don’t think bonner is gonna get ran through like the odds makers are suggesting but I don’t think every MMA fan was scratching at the door for this fight either. I used to not like anderson but with JBJ being JBJ, it makes anderson easy to like. lol

    • Trent says:

It’s because it’s a non-title fight plus both fighters were not in training when asked to fight. It’s basically special circumstance because they both don’t have enough time for a full training camp

    • jdog says:

because it is short notice and they wont have a full camp to get into shape

  3. The King says:

what Magoo and many other gullible idiots don’t know is that Designer drugs are un detectable.. it’s obvious GSP’s camp wants to “say” they are going to get into VADA just to give the illusion of a clean fighter…

Its just too Bad there’s so many Magoos out there.. Gullable Naive and in total denial.

  4. daveyB says:

Now that Rory will be tested, it looks like Penn fans will have 1 less excuse to use after Rory steamrolls him. If Penn spent less time focusing on who is or isn’t juicing, and more time acting like a professional athlete, he’d be better off. The days of beating guys like Pulver and Stevenson on 10% training and 90% talent are over. He was on the right track with the M brothers, but it takes discipline, sacrifice, passion, and a burning desire to be the best to maintain that type of lifestyle. GSP has it. Rory has it, and he will use the end result of all that EFFORT to send lazy-ass BJ back into retirement.

    • daveyB says:

@the king…Why don’t you tell us the NAMES of these “designer drugs”? I’ve done some bodybuilding in the past, and the drugs I’m familiar with(winstrol, deca, Dianabol, promo) are all detectable. Since you’re such an expert, let us all know what drugs are not detectable. Seems like you just can’t accept that someone like GSP has better genetics, better diet, a better work ethic, and way more discipline than your no-cardio, melon headed, “I don’t want my daughter to see me like this”, beaten into early retirement hero.

      • Majestyk says:

I’ve watched videos of GSP training, and they are pretty impressive in terms of how hard he pushes himself, the diversity of the training, and the actual physical feats that the guy performs. Doing chin-ups with a 100lb. dumbbells around your waist is no joke! I can’t say for sure that he’s not juicing, but it seems like no matter what he says ( or in this case, does), people are going to believe what they want.

        • BJC says:

Your absolutely right on that one.Your always going to have those people like King who get these notions in their heads

      • brandon says:

that exactly right, exellent commet. gsp and rory are lightyears ahead of washed up bj penn

      • RonDon808 says:

Brah, its a trip how you guys make like you know everything. HGH. Look it up –

        • B-rad says:

Thats some interesting shit there, people with enough money will always find a way to cheat the system.Funny thing about that article it was sayin kids in high school take that shit? I graduated 3 years ago and let me tell you, there would be no way i could afford that shit even if i wanted to take it. Coaches maybe supplying?? Intersting to think about

      • B-rad says:

Im definitly no expert on any of this, but i remember when Barry Bonds was in hot water for his juicing a lot of people were sayin Victor Conte, guy who owned BALCO, created a strain of PEDS called “clearies” i dont remember if they were anabolic, or if it was HGH

    • makaveli says:

Daveyb have u ever been involved in any training session of bj penns.

  5. General P says:

BJP vs The spider at 185 for the title! BJ would dominate Anderson all day.

  6. Dick Diaz says:

i like how this is and they added the “?” to the title. hmmm, wonder what’s the stigma behind this headline… hurm……

  7. Iceman says:

I guess rush ain’t fighting now.he’ll be the next to fake an injury.

  8. jonnylew says:

@ Davey B – Designer drugs (at least the newer, cutting edge ones) WON’T be detected. That’s the friggin point, and why they’re called DESIGNER drugs. They’re designed in such a fashion that they’ll be able to get around current methods of drug testing.

Hence why Olympians like Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte have submitted samples of their blood to be frozen & stored, so that way in the future when newer PED’s are discovered and newer tests are made their blood can be thawed and tested again using current methods. IDIOT.

  9. ya herd says:

  10. B-rad says:

Every fighter should be open to random testing.

  11. The King says:

GSP should have “shut some mouths up” A LONG TIME AGO…

WHY ONLY NOW? It’s called PR. everyone knows BIRD OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER.

Time to wake up!!! LOL how the UFC is JUST NOW on the anti peds bandwagon.

thanks the BJ PENN. the most outspoken fighter in MMA HISTORY..

Like it or not it was PENN that got this VADA movement going and FORCED Rory and TEAM TRI STAR to do some major PR work. lol

    • daveyB says:

Like I said earlier,BJ would be better of worrying about doing some hard GSP type training than worrrying what his competitors are doing. BJ can’t accept the fact that certain people are better than him because they put SO much more effort into their prep. ALL year long…not just for a few months, after being a lazyass for the previous nine. BJs not doing this for the sport. He’s pushing this because he’s hoping that if his competitors are tested, he’ll go back to being a winner. He should stop crying about ” greasing” and ” juicing” and start eating and training like GSP does. He won’t though, because that takes DISCIPLINE. That’s why Rory is going to retire him for good.

      • Ironfist says:

Bj is the king bitch!!!!!watch ur tone fag.

        • Ironfist says:

Another thing to,bj was man enough to move up a weight class and fight the bigger stronger guys.he might’ve lost a few times doing it but at least he stepped up and accepted all challenges.unlike gsp who’s afraid to that cause he dosent wanna ruin his boring ass legacy.

        • daveyB says:

Of course BJ is fearless, we all know that. My point is that his natural attributes like fearlessness and toughness, along with a high degree of skill are NOT enough. Maybe against Pulver or Big Daddy, but nor against guys like GSP or Rory (or Edgar or Diaz). These are guys that live the lifestyle of a professional athlete. Their level level of commitment and sacrifice (year-round) is on another level. That’s why BJ is headed for his 4th loss ina row.

This sh!t is starting to sound like the Iranian
nuclear bullsh!t. I turn the news off to get away
and then get all these conspiracies.
