“I am taking advantage of Wanderlei Silva, who also is training with us here in Curitiba, for his fight at the end of June. We are in an intense rhythm. It is important that each one look to exploit the maximum of one another in the training.”
Shogun’s coach Andre Dida comments on Shogun as well as the new additions made to his team.
“Shogun lives a very good new phase of his career, he is so much motivated and very focused. For this duel, we have new blood in the team. Serginho Moraes – three time BJJ world champion and TUF Brazil contestant – is the newest guy responsible for the ground training,”

And last to get *****
Wished you woulda really challenged yourself and took on Glover instead, I would of had more respect for you, instead you fight a scrub like Vera the guys lucky to even be in the UFC
Vera is very lucky. They already cut him for his losses and then showed him mercy when silva failed his piss test.
Agree to an extent buuuut… fact is that even though Glover is clearly more talented, Vera still has a bigger name. If Shogun went in there and knocked off Glover then he would get disregarded as nothing more than unwarranted hype and it would do nothing for Shogun anyways. Even though he’s fallen far from grace, Vera still has some weight to his name and the fact of the matter is a win against Vera (impressive or not) will do more for Shogun than a win against Glover Teixeira.
You suck
you’re gay.
zero interest in this match up.
Couldn’t agree more. This is gonna be a great fight and they are both big names. I’m glad people are finally turning down new comers so they have to work to get a title shot. I’m tired of hyped fighters (like gustofson) beating 2 people and then everyone’s on his dick. both fighter will get more money this way
Shogun v Machida3. Shogun v Rashad Evans. Shogun v Gustaffsson wouldve made alot more sense than Vera. Itll be a quick and easy payday for Shogun, and hell probably be taking home the KO of the night bonus afterwards. Vera is lucky to have a roster spot, and will probably be released after getting throttled by Shogun. Im not sure what Joe Silva was thinking on this matchup
