Scoring Error Corrected For UFC On FX 3 Pierce Now Has Unanimous Decision Victory Over Rocha | UFC News

Mike Pierce and Carlos Eduardo Rocha squared off at UFC on FX 3: Johnson vs. McCall II last weekend.
The bout was dominated by Mike Pierce both in the stand-up and grappling exchanges, Rocha’s corner men stated to their fighter Pierce was ahead and Rocha needed the finish in the final round.
Two judges scored the bout (30-27) in favour of Pierce however one of the judges scored the bout (30-27) Rocha. This resulted in the bout being scored a split-decision in favor of Pierce.
However UFC officials cleared up the situation via the UFC official twitter account.

The bout now recorded as a unanimous decision victory for Mike Pierce as the judge who scored it incorrectly cleared up the situation.

Pierce looks like a zombie in this picture
Pierce’s gameplan was smart… And ridiculously boring. Press Rocha against the fence for as long as possible and throw in a takedown to win the round by “imposing his will”… Weak… Truth is he didn’t want ANY part of Rocha’s ground game and apparently none of his stand up as well… His most significant strikes were in the last :20 of the 3rd round… Not impressed…
