San Diego Rumored To Host December Strikeforce Event
Strikeforce looks to be headed to San Diego, California, as the promotion is gearing up for an event this winter at the Valley View Casino Center. MMAJunkie.com was the first to report the news.
Already slated for the card include a lightweight title fight, as champion Gilbert Melendez will defend against American Top Team product, Jorge Masvidal. Also returning to action after an eighteen month layoff, is Strikeforce featherweight champion, Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, although an opponent has yet to be named. Additionally, Gina Carano has also been rumored to be returning for the December show, along with a light heavyweight fight featuring Gegard Mousasi and Ovince St. Preux.
