Rory MacDonald Says He Didn’t Look For Advice From GSP In Prep For Penn | UFC NEWS
“I didn’t really ask him anything. I watched it (GSP vs Penn). I’m not the kind of guy that wants to know everything about somebody, I really don’t care. For all I know BJ could have completely changed his training and maybe he’s a Muay Thai fighter now, who knows. I don’t really care. I just get better as a fighter, as a martial artist. I really don’t care about the past.”
During yesterday’s UFC on FOX 5 media conference call Rory MacDonald said he did not seek the advice of his mentor, Georges St-Pierre, while preparing for BJ Penn.
Georges St-Pierre and BJ Penn have faced off twice in their UFC careers.

I can kind of respect that, trusting in yourself, your ability, training and coaches but I also feel like its a mentality a young fighter would have. There’s nothing wrong with studying your opponent, it happens in every sport around, and there’s a good reason for it.
