Roop Out, Pineda In To Face Carvalho | MMA NEWS
Another injury, another changed fight. George Roop will no longer be taking on Antonio Carvalho at UFC 149. Roop has suffered an injury during training and Daniel Pineda will now fight Cravalho at the UFC’s return to Canada.
UFC officials announced on Tuesday that the fight has been changed and the new fight will still take place on the pay-per-view card. UFC 149 is returning to Canada at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. The card will be the first visit to the city.
UFC 149 hosts a bantamweight title fight, where the interim belt is up for grabs. Urijah Faber will take on Renan Barao. The interim belt is up for grabs after champion Dominic Cruz was due to withdraw from his fight with Faber due to an ACL injury.
Add this to a long list of injuries thus far this year and we are barely half way through it.
