Roland Delorme vs. Alex Caceres added to UFC 165 in Toronto

UFC officials recently announced that a bantamweight bout between Roland Delorme (9-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Alex Caceres (8-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC) will serve as the 13th match-up for UFC 165 in Toronto this September.

Roland Delorme is coming off a thrilling unanimous decision win over Edwin Figueroa, which took place in the Canadians hometown of Winnipeg at UFC 161. Prior to that, “The Ultimate Fighter Season 14″ member scored submission victories over Josh Ferguson and Nick Denis while inside the octagon.

Delorme’s lone UFC set back occurred at UFC 149 in Calgary, where he was TKO’d by Francisco Rivera in the first round. However, the result of that bout was later changed to a no-contest after Rivera failed his post-fight drug test due to an over-the-counter stimulant.

Meanwhile, Caceres is set to fight for the first time since serving a suspension due to a failed marijuana test. That failed test cost “Bruce Leeroy” a split-decision win over Kyung Ho Kang at the “UFC on FUEL TV: Silva vs. Stann” event, which was changed to a no-contest. Had the victory stood for Caceres, it would have marked his third in a row under the Zuffa banner.

UFC 165 takes place September 21 live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The main card airs on pay-per-view following the prelims which air on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.

The UFC 165 event is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between current champion Jon “Bones” Jones and challenger Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson.
