Roger Gracie Latest To Join Black House Roster | Moving To Middleweight

More than a month has passed since we first reported the story that Roger Gracie would be moving down a weight class, train with Anderson Silva and move to the UFC.
Shortly after our initial report UFC president Dana White denied the Strikeforce acquisition.
As it turns out, as reported this afternoon by Ariel Helwani, two of the three rumors are now confirmed as valid.
Strikeforce light-heavyweight fighter, Roger Gracie, has just been signed to the Black House team managed by Ed Soares. The grappling sensation will utilize this newly arranged alliance to focus more on his MMA training as he makes the transition from full-time grappler/part-time fighter to full-time fighter/part-time grappler.
He is also making the move down to the middleweight division.
He now joins a host of talent in the Black House Coalition that includes the likes of Anderson Silva, Both Nogueira brothers and Lyoto Machida. Also friends of Black House are Junior Dos Santos, Mark Munoz and a wealth of other fighters.

Doesn’t he no he’s not black
I dont think he realizes he isnt a house either .
Roger has nuts he kept the fight with king mo standing when he knew he could finish it on the ground
He’s 6’4. He’s way too big for middleweight, it’ll be too severe of a weight cut for him. I think this is too risky of a venture on his part.
Yeah, but he isn’t that strong/muscular like some other big guys at 205, so he might make it.
Anyways, i think the problem is that he’s still developing his MMA skillset, not the weight class.
Might just be a matter of not getting KILLED by the monsters at 205 in the UFC.
The lack of wrestlers at MW will make it easier for him to get guys on the mat and work his BJJ.
Holy shit, that’s a good look for him, joining BH.
I don’t think Munoz is on good terms with Black House…
damn….from heavyweight, to light heavyweight, to middleweight. crazy
Nothing crazy about it .
He was full time BJJ & part time fighting he is still only finding out his fighting weight .
Them Gracies are a skinny breed anyway , a lot of em are about 6’2 & tight at middle or welterweight .
