Rockhold vs. Kennedy broadcast pulls average numbers | MMA NEWS
Yahoo Sports reported earlier today that the numbers for this past Saturday’s Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy card drew an audience of 420,000 viewers.
“While that isn’t a blockbuster number, it holds up well in relation to the promotion’s other offerings on Showtime. The Heavyweight Grand Prix Final in May did slightly better at 463,000 viewers, and the most attention-grabbing women’s fight in some time, Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey, pulled in 472,000 viewers.”
The numbers do show they are at least holding their core audience’s attention. The true test of Strikeforce’s growth will be in August when Ronda Rousey steps in to the cage again to face Sarah Kaufman.

why will that be the true test?
Because Rousey has a big mouth and they wanna see if it can them a bigger fan base lol. I say they need to tell showtime to **** themselves. Strikeforce is never gonna grow until it gets on ppv.
Or they get rid of shotty showtime and switch to HBO
I wouldn’t pay $45 or $55 HD for a strikeforce card, I say they should stay on showtime.
Not to bad for the amount of advertising zuffa did for this event. Isnt this what the NFL did to the AFL? Buy out all the little guys. Sept one problem, this isnt a league. Or could it be turned into one. Say a team sport? Hmm Team gracie, Team gay Tri star, Team RVCA,Team Alpha Male?? Maybe a lttle team Greg dry hump Jacksons idk. Otherwise I dont see them getting out of this monopoly thing…Thoughts?
