Riddle questions failed drug test | UFC NEWS
Matt Riddle is questioning the drug test that landed the welterweight in the unemployment line.
In an in-depth interview with Bloody Elbow’s Steph Daniels, Riddle talked openly about a cornucopia of subjects, including the famed UFC on Fuel TV 7 post-fight drug test that revealed a positive result for marijuana. The result was Riddle’s second time in his last three fights he tested positive. The UFC cut Riddle soon after.
“I was genuinely shocked when I heard I’d been cut, but I was more shocked that I had failed the test,” Riddle said. “I quit three weeks out, so I’m still very suspicious about that. I’m going to look into that test. I feel that a lot of things were happening at that moment in my career, and it was just very coincidental that I failed the drug test. Trust me, I quit three weeks out, and I’ve passed them before from only two weeks out. I find the whole thing really suspicious.”
In the interview, Riddle talks about his future in fighting, UFC’s way of doing business, and being an outspoken fighter.
