Report | 19 Million Brazilians Tuned In To Watch Anderson Silva Beat Chael Sonnen | UFC NEWS
Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen 2 brought the biggest numbers yet for a UFC pay-per-view airing in Brazil.
UFC 148 aired a 30-minute tape delay on Globo TV pulling in 19 million viewers. A contractual agreement between Globo TV and the UFC caused the air delay. The numbers reflect only the ratings of the tape delayed free broadcast shattering the record last month of 10 and 15 million viewers for UFC 147 which took place in Brazil.
President Dana White stated prior to the show that he expected UFC 148 to break the one million buys mark. The UFC has not yet released the U.S. pay-per-view estimates.

Aside from the Silva win, does anybody ever think that the ufc is rigged? This was a great opportunity for Brazil and boosted views by a lot. Not saying I definitely think its rigged, but I am just baffled on how easy Sonnen went down. Look how much Silva is invested by sponsors: Nike, Burger King, etc. If he lost it would have been devastating for sponsors, ratings. The people in the mob could of had millions invested into Silva. I may just be talking out of my ass, but the thought came across my head and was wondering if anyone else thought about this. Especially after watching the Pacman fight, I have grown suspicious.
