Reagan Penn Books Evan Cutts For Pro Elite 2 on November 5th
Reagan Penn will take the next step in his MMA career this November, as he returns to action for his second professional fight against Dallas’s Evan “The Butcher” Cutts.
Reagan Penn made a successful MMA debut this past August, when he quickly dispatched Paul Gardiner via rear naked choke in just over a minute of round one. With the win, many MMA fans got their first taste of the skills that the younger Penn possesses, although many insiders were already aware of how talented Reagan really was. As an integral part of BJ’s training camps, Reagan has been on the mat and in the cage with the worlds most elite fighters for quite sometime, so while he’ll be looking for his second official mixed martial arts win, there’s little doubt that he’s already got a wealth of experience against some of the biggest names in the sports history.
At 6’1, 178lbs, Evan Cutts is currently undefeated in pro MMA at 2-0, and while he may not be known to mainstream MMA fans, he’s been making waves on the local circuit during his young MMA career. As an amateur, the 20yr old Cutts was named “Amateur Fighter of the Year” on ESPN.go.com’s list for “Best of Dallas Forth Worth MMA in 2010″. Cutts last fought this past June where he defeated Derrick San Miguel by guillotine choke in the second round. Consequently, both of Cutts wins have come by way of submission, as well as 3 of his 4 amateur wins. Cutts finds himself with a great opportunity, but a tall order when he meets Reagan Penn this November, as Penn will certainly be looking to make another statement when he steps back into the cage for Pro Elite.
ProElite II takes place November 5th from the iWireless Center in Moline Illinois and is headlined by former UFC heavyweight champions as Tim Sylvia faces Andreas Kraniotakes in the evening’s main event, while Andrei Arlovski will meet MMA veteran Travis Fulton in the co main event.
