World Series of Fighting President, Ray Sefo, announced Monday that he will be fighting for the promotion in its next set of fights at WSOF 4.
Sefo spoke on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, and he announced that he would be returning to action on the WSOF August 10 card at Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California.
As of yet, Sefo does not have an opponent. Some have speculated that David Huckaba could be a potential opponent after his June 14 fight with Rolles Gracie was cancelled when Gracie suffered an injury. Sefo announced in a WSOF 3 pre-fight media call that Huckaba was expected to fight on the August card, and Gracie could be expected as early as September.
Sefo is a 6-time muay thai world champion, with a professional boxing record of 5-1 and MMA record of 2-1. He last fought in 2011, losing to Valentijn Overeem in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix.
Though many have made the move from fighter to coach, and some have made the move from fighter to promoter, Ray Sefo may be the first to move from promoter to fighter.Tags: mma, MMA NEWS, ray sefo, world series of fighting, wsof, WSOF 4
