Rashad Evans vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira To Face off in Early 2013
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans has been inactive since losing to Jon Jones at UFC 145 this past April. Evans has kept busy by preparing some of his Blackzilian teammates for their bouts including Vitor Belfort who was unsuccessful in his attempt to wrestle away the light heavyweight title from Jon Jones at UFC 152.
Brazil’s SporTV ran the story on their website today.
It looks as though Evans will be back inside the Octagon shortly after the new year where he is reportedly facing Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 157 which will take place on Super Bowl Weekend (February 2, 2013) in Las Vegas. The UFC usually holds a huge card every year during this weekend and if this is any indication this event should be every entertaining.
Nogueira was last seen punishing Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 last December earning a first round TKO victory in the process. That win snapped a two fight losing streak and set him up for a bout with top prospect Alexander Gustafsson scheduled for April, but was forced out because of a knee injury.

I hope Rashad lays and prays on this brazilian monkey for victory and sends him back to the zoo.
This is a lose/lose situation for both. If Evans loses thats 2 losses in a row, sending him to bottom 10. If Nog loses thats 3 losses in 4 fights. Pulling for Rashad, but Nog has some heavy hands as well. Great fight
Rashad allways have the “DAT ASS” look on his face in his pictures
What a shitty match up. Rashad has everything to lose. He should be fighting Bader, or even more so Machida or Shogun. What a joke this company that I have respected for so long has become.
What’s next, we get to watch Kos try to dry hump Nick Diaz? LMAO! I bet I am right about that too. ~Bob’O
Well what an odd match up. 2 great fighters in their own respect but Idk if I want to see this. We’ll just have to see how it goes
I love lil nog for putting on one of the best fights I’ve ever seen with shogun in the pride grand prix 2005 but rashad is gonna wreck him with his superior wrestling.rashad has pretty good striking knows how to cover distance great is fast and has power.but rashad is gonna use his wrestling in this one.just like when Davis overwhelmed nog with the wrestling.and rashad is a better wrestler than Davis to….OMG…rashads gonna roll right thru lil nog.rashad by decision all day!!!!!
Hey you Fitch Lover over there.. ^^^^. Shut the Fu.ck up you stupid Ass liker..
Yeah, Rashad is going to steam roll through Nog. There’s really no other way to put it.
