Rampage Insulted | Rich Franklin Needs To Watch His Mouth, Admits Doctors Told Him Not To Fight

“My friend already texted me what Rich Franklin said and Rich Franklin needs to watch his mouth for next time I see him. He’s a fighter just like I’m a fighter and he should watch what he says. You don’t question if a fighter takes his fight serious or not. I’m tired of people saying that.

So what? I get ups and downs in my fight career just like everybody else but I’m still here. I’ve been around for 11 years but I’m still here. I take all my fights seriously and I’m tired of people questioning me. I’m one fighter that I haven’t backed out of a fight yet due to injuries, if I win I win if I lose I lose. I’ve won some fights injured and I’ve lost some fights injured, so that’s just me. I’m the one that has to answer it in the end of the day.

That’s why I am the way I am, I get paid to fight, If I get injured the next thing I’m doing is asking my doctor if I can still fight and this time my doctor said no, you can’t fight. Through the grace of the most high I healed up and I kept training through my injury. I trained other things, I didn’t take time off, I kept training but my weight suffered, it happens.”

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson fires back after a friend told him that Rich Franklin, who is serving as FUEL TV commentator this weekend, questioned his devotion to prepare for this fight.

  1. the original steve says:

    what did franklin say?

    • Nick says:

Something about Rampage not taking the fight seriously and about how his training went. That whole ordeal. Typical stuff people say when someone misses weight.

  2. Nick says:

I can understand. I’d be a bit offended too.

  3. Jason N says:

Rampage should stop crying over it. When you miss weight, it is unprofessional. So he should take the flake. Franklin will beat Rampage. J

The 20% fine is not enough to make these guys give a serious effort to make weight. When the cut starts getting hard they think to themselves, “What is the worst that will happen?”. 20%? F- it i’ll mail it in and be stronger for fight night. Should be dropped from 205 rankings. That is what Alves and Stunble did(multiple times)

    • DLo says:

You judge because but don’t know anything about life or fighting.

    • Dom#1 says:

you’re a clueless bitch that’s never cut weight on an injury, probably never cut weight for a wrestling tourney or anything. It happens, if you arent a bitch you’ll fight, and rampage aint a bitch.

      • Jason N says:

That’s where your are wrong. Growing up wresting I cut up to 15 pounds 2 or more times a week. Sometimes injured.
And I wasn’t being paid. Have you. So Shut up about me let’s hear about you.

  4. Jason N says:

Would LOVE to see Franklin whoop Rampage. Hope the Japanese fans don’t let Rampage off the hook. Let him have it Japan.

  5. cody says:

i mean if he had a honest injury then come on hes never missed weight before that ive heard of and im sure he was taking this japan fight seriously it sucks but cut him some slack page always brings it

  6. King Prodigy Levreau says:

    WAR RAMPAGE WAR!!!

  7. UFC not KFC says:

I don’t see Franklin beating Rampage.Franklin is a small LHW, there would be a pretty big size/strength difference.Franklin’s best days in the octagon are way behind him.Getting absolutely mauled by Silva TWICE took its toll on him mentally and physically. Sure he retired Liddell but who didn’t beat him towards the end? Once Franklin realized that he would never be MW champ again I think that really unmotivated him as far as fighting goes.
