Rafael Cordeiro Says Fabricio Werdum Is In Talks With The UFC

“He’s back to the trainings, he’s making everybody laugh. He’ll probably fight in December… He’s talking to the UFC, and maybe they come up with something for December. I like the idea, he deserves it. In case it actually happens, UFC is the place he should’ve never left. The bests are there, and there’s where Werdum belongs.”
Kings MMA head coach, Rafael Cordeiro tells Tatame.com that Strikeforce heavyweight, Fabricio Werdum is in talks with the UFC. Werdum has been fighting under the Strikeforce banner for the past few years, although he’s no stranger to the UFC, as his previous stint in the promotion saw him go 2-2 with wins over Brandon Vera and Gabriel Gonzaga. Werdum was last seen during the Strikeforce GP, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem. Can Werdum return to the UFC and make an impact on an even deeper heavyweight division?

Yeah it would be good for the HW division.. But I rather see Cormier in the UFC !!!
I think he’d be a great addition too! Any quality heavies would be a great addition. UFC needs them
agreed – i think they’re going to cherry pick the SF GP guys – be interesting to see if Dana’s forgiven Barnett yet but i’d like to see him fight some of the UFC HW’s as well as Werdum / Cormier
I think if cormier wins the grand pre he deserves a shot at the ufc champ. He has shown that he can stay away from his wrestling and use his developing hands to win fights. So you have a legit guy who can bring olympic caliber wrestling yet no lay and pray like some guys. Cormier would be a awesome addtion to the UFC HW division.
