Quick Twitt | Vinny Magalhaes Request Phil Davis Fight | UFC NEWS

The UFC’s light-heavyweight division has always been full of talent.

Nothing proves that point more than the recent acquisition of Vinny Magalhaes.

The former M-1 global champion and TUF runner up recently made his return to the UFC at UFC 152 and took home a decisive submission victory over the very talented Igor Pokrajac.

Now riding a six-fight win streak the Brazilian recently threw his name in the hat for a shot at the top of the division.

I would love to see this fight!!!! Great to see some high-level BJJ back in the LHW division!

This will be a great fight. Lloyd Irvin will definitelyput together an awesome plan for Davis. And I think Davis’ grappling prowess will bring the absolute best out of Vinny. Good treat for the grappling fans.

I really like both fighters, especially Davis. It could be a very interesting fight, but I would think that Davis would just keep this standing. Vinny would never be able to take him down. He could try to pull guard but I see Davis picking Vinny apart with his superior striking. Mind you that I’m not saying that Davis’ striking is great, it’s just better than Vinny’s.

I hope Davis will next face a top 10 fighter and if Vinny manages to get a good run of wins under his belt than they can make this fight happen.

How would you like to see Sonnen vs Vinny? Sonnen has no KO power and would never take Vinny down so that could be a very amusing fight 😀 lol

P.S. I know that Vinny worked on Sonnen’s BJJ for the second Anderson fight, so they will probably not fight. I just have a funny picture in my head of them fighting each other in a stand up “war”.

Chael would destroy vinny lol. He also has 7 ko’s.
