UFC president Dana White took to twitter this afternoon to announce that UFC 153 participant, Rampage Jackson, was forced to withdraw from his scheduled appearance in Brazil.
No details were given as to the extent of the injury or if the UFC will seek a replacement opponent for Glover Teixeira.

i think it has to do with the fact that they use a lot of weights in their training. Some mma fighters don’t, but I think most do. It wears on the joints and …. injury. Injury bug starts to bite more and more the older they get. It’s weights. BJ, and AS, I think looks like they don’t place a large emphasis compared to the other fighters.
