Quick Twitt | Rampage Continues Backlash, Says White Has Agreed To Let Him Leave UFC After One More Fight

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson took to twitter this afternoon to release his frustrations with the UFC to the fans.

This is the third time in the past week that “Rampage” has expressed his disgust with the UFC. He said HERE that he will compete in one-more fight for them to fulfill his obligations and then find a new home to fight for. He then went on to explain in more detail why he wishes to leave the UFC HERE.

The most recent installment of his displeasure is of course featured above in this entry.

He has long been a character with volatile emotions but could this really be the end of “Rampage” Jackson?

There’s a difference between tough and stupid. Fighting hurt for consecutive years is easily the latter.

    • &; says:

man everyone fights hurt. Smart of not you don’t go around making excuses after the fact. The truth hurts and the truth is Rampage hasn’t been in an exciting fight in a long time. His fight with Hamill was awful, Bader was awful, Jones was a one-sided beating, Evans was a huge let down, and he lost that Machida fight.

    • yeah yeah says:

youre always hurt for a fight and if youre not youre not training hard. there is a difference between hurt and injured.

  2. slacker says:

He is re – directing his frustration with himself onto the UFC. The reason he was so mad with Rogan’s comments before was because he hit the nail on the head: he is too one – dimensional and needs to adapt. Since he won’t, he may as well leave. Same with Nick: if he can’t learn a style other than “fence – fighting”, he may as well retire from the UFC 100%, because he will just keep making excuses for his losses to guys with good wrestling and guys who don’t feel obligated to stand right in front of him and get walked backwards. As far as Rampage’s comments about wrestling, if you are not good enough to get up when someone takes you down, then maybe you are not as good a fighter as you think you are. Let all these whiners and complainers leave MMA; they can all go and beat each other’s heads in in a cage that is 10 feet by 10 feet.

it the new thing with some fighters…he wouldnt fight the way i wanted him to so he’s a *****…ramage called them leg humpers…dont let them take you down. ramage wrestled in high school and college right? everyone talks about how great diaz’s boxing is but he cried that condit ran the whole fight…use your footwork, dont just walk forward, cut off the ring, when you get him on the fence dont let him off. if you cant figure that out your boxing aint that great.
the problem is… they dont have to adjust, they just fight the same way, lose, then make the same old excuses and their fans will defend those excuses and make more excuses for them. or they just quit….

      • Bloodhound says:

100% Right this is why I don’t mind guys like Phil Baroni – in my experience (and I could be wrong) I’ve never heard him make an excuse, his record sucks but he comes to fight (Nick Nolte fight turned out unfortunate), big Page fan but he’s gotta stop with all of this, he says be positive but I’m seeing a LOT of negative.

    • jonsey says:

woow u an idio bro…nick dont juust fence figh you idiot..watch some of his fights from sf…yu totally ignorant

      • slacker says:

I have seen his strikeforce fights. That’s the majority of his tactic. Just look at the Penn fight. He was losing when they were fighting in the middle of the octagon, so then he realized early in the 2nd, crap, this guy is beating me here, so he rushed – pushed him back against the fence. Then, he was such a tough guy, that he fence grabbed 4 or 5 times to hold him there. He doesn’t spend much time fighting in the middle of the octagon because he is not that good there.

    • jc says:

Rampage neeed to shut the fuck up. who is he saying he wants to fight guys who try put on a show he was pretty much standing with jones the whole fight and hardly swung a punch. also if you dont like being put on your back you should learn and train to get off it. even when the fight is standing rampage cant even finish people like hamill and jardinee.

  3. Azuzsa says:

RAMPAGE VS SHOGUN LATER THIS YEAR AND THEN RETIRE!! SHOGUN BY ANOTHER BRUTAL KO!!!

  4. Jb says:

By monkey your washed up…..talking like everyone else doesn’t fight hurt

  5. Christian says:

Yeah, the money must be bad when you’re driving a Lambo. And it’s also funny that he called the UFC a bunch of leg humpers, yet he’s the one who dry-humped a reporter hahaha

  6. saddd says:

i dont ever bad talk fighters but boy have i lost a ton of respect for rampage.

  7. Twatty Mc.Twatface says:

i havent lost respect for him but i think he might need to check himself
under promoted? UFC have always made a big deal about his name. He wont be fighting for zuffa after this bad mouth so he wont be in strikeforce
this leaves him with bellator/mfc etc. they gonna pay him more and promote him better? these people are not that great at promotions and make one sided matchups for knockout spectaculars

other avenues is Dream/Fields and he stays in japan where he feels loved and has children?

  8. BG says:

I have noticed when fighters compete hurt and win, they are given a lot of praise. More so than if they won while uninjured.

If they fight hurt and lose, the injury is almost ignored. They are just treated as losing, esp if they have a subpar performance which is expected if they’re injured.

This isn’t universal, and I’d have to research past fights to give several specific examples. It’s just a casual observation I’ve made more than a few times.

  9. Taylor says:

All he’s doing now is tarnishing his legacy.

  10. ed says:

Weird. He has one fight left on his contract, which would seem to mean that he’s free to leave after that fight, regardless of whether Dana agrees or not. It seems like the only thing he would need Dana’s agreement on is releasing him now, before the last fight.

  11. T.Daddy says:

Stop making excuses man… Just fight n shut up

  12. James Troy says:

id leave the UFC if ryan bader beat me too. ryan bader is a fucking can and the most excitign fight he ever had was when tito choked his sorry ass out. sto promoting shitting boring wrestlers. start standing fights up if they dont do shit after 30 seconds. advance, try to finish just for th elove of god stop laying and doing nothing.

rampage is old and hes been fighting for years. if he isnt happy in the ufc then let him leave. yes the ufc and fans will miss him but o well. maybe that will inspire the ufc suits to get their shit together and stop praising boring fighters like GSP and ryan fucking bader.
its sad when GSP the champ always talk about his legacy when he ha sno fucking fight bonus’s and chris lytle has dozens. when u talk about amazing fights u talk about guys like rampage and lytle. u never talk about gsp or ryan fuckin bader unless they lost. (matt serra beat gsps ass in oen of the greatest fights ever and tito destroying bader)

  13. Jason N says:

    bye bye

  14. Dick Niaz says:

Fight Shogun the go on your merry way.

    (he’s gonna kick your ass)

  15. whiner says:

Maybe if rampage actually acted like he cared for his performance insted of jus sucking ass an collecting money, but honestly what a joke everything page has done is his fault an he’s like a bad child that can’t face the repocussions

  16. The Diaz bros like it in the butt says:

The real problem is TOO MUCH weight is given to take downs whether you advance or inflict damage, for some dumb reason just the takedown it self wins you a fight! Fans don’t want to see 15 min of bullshit takedowns and lay and prey mentality

  17. G says:

I’m shocked at how immaturely Jackson is handling all this shit. Also, I am not a fan any longer. If you look at his record, it’s very good, but lately he’s past his prime. He just wins or loses by decision now. Also, all the other negative stuff associated with him. His wreck with that woman causing her to lose her unborn baby (very horrendous). Not making weight. Acting like he was under-promoted when he was actually more promoted than the title fight the same night (in Japan).

    • Pochizzle says:

if you actually read that, the woman lied and the baby was already dead before rampage hit her. She just wanted money, very horrendous you couldnt couldn’t take 5 more seconds to scroll down and finish reading a story.

  18. jonsey says:

rampage is just being a baby,,,he really is past hi prime and hi career is over and he knows it..he cant ct so i dont believe he iwll make mony in movies anymore but we wil see….after he fought matt hamill and could no finish i thought he should reetire…hamill was getting finished in the tuff show like come on….this is killer rampage…1 month ago rampage had a interveiw on here sayingh he would never take TRT and then takes it …he is a fake bitch

  19. true mma says:

Just fight, nobody wants to see you in movies and plus if you were to stop fighting your ass would get fat. Who wants to see a fat man with a chain around his neck screaming. We already have Mr T

  20. TIkler says:

What an idiot. If you can’t evolve with the sport then go do your sorry acting. Maybe you should take a role as Buckwheat when they make a Little Rascal movie, F.U.C.K.I.N baby! Dana should just let your whinny a.s.s. go now. Your just going to loose again anyway and then cry again that you were injured in your last fight too. Maybe you and Tito can hold each other while you cry about your injuries to one another.

  21. I think every fighter who has done the things he did should be given the benefit of the doubt. Rampage is a great fighter, wheter 1-dimensional or wheter you like it or not. If he says he’s always fighting hurt, then he is. He never ducked out from a fight before and haven’t missed weight before this Bader match.

Some people just need to research the b.g. of the UFC before talkin’ shit about the fighters. Rampage and Tito aren’t the first people to talk bad about the org. Anyone remembered about the BJ Penn incident 6-7yrs ago?

  22. Taylor says:

A lot of no knowledge idiots on here. If all u want to see is striking go watch boxing or K-1. It’s fucking mma. Round out your game then this convo wouldn’t even take place. All Rampage is, now is a cartoon character.

  23. Steve says:

Use to be a Rampage fan until he started to PMS. Now I hope in his next fight, he gets his ass handed. Dude keeps bitching and blaming everyone but himself.
