Quinton “Rampage” Jackson took to twitter recently to announce his intentions going forward with his fighting home, the UFC.
He only wants one more fight with the promotion before severing ties and going his own way.

actually i thought he was in great shape for the bones fight, probably the best shape hes ever been in. He just cant compete with the upper class mma stars anymore.Boxing will be good for rampage because that’s all he really is anymore, its all he like to do. he will make some pretty good money doing it too. I hope to see boxing be big again someday (probably will never happen)
I think he overtrained for his last couple of fights and when it came down to it he was just too tired to go.

I think the UFC should forget putting Rampage in any sort of title picture and instead focus on letting him have exciting fights. And when I say that I mean they should top putting him against top notch wrestlers (as they have in 4 of his last 5 fights).
Of course you have to go through the wrestlers if you’re gonna be a champion, but his champion days are over, put him against some people he can have a good stand-up war with, and let him retire with a few exciting fights…
no one anyone else could pay what the ufc could pay him. He is getting older and everyone around him is advancing and opening up to broader styles, Rampage simply punches and can wrestle. I don’t think he could go to Strikeforce or Pride FC or K1 and do any better than he is now
Boxing can certainly pay more than UFC. Be it that Rampage is one the 39 fighters that have PPV buy contract, so he is close to a million a fight without a doubt. (not the 250,000$ they say he makes)
No one can fight in Pride anymore… UFC bought em out back in 2007.
Oh man I would love to see Rampage fight King Mo or whatever the **** his name is, the 205 strikeforce champ who hasn’t had any competition…i would much rather see that fight and see Rampage end his career gracefully and not being taken out by top LightHeavies in the UFC.

Rampage is very much like BJ where they have so much talent but they chose not to work hard during training. Difference is that BJ has adapted to the evolution of MMA and has a BJJ game where as Rampage doesn’t.

Rampage is a great fighter but his style hasn’t evolved with the times. The UFC has the best fighters in the world and fighters who don’t evolve won’t be able to succeed at the top level. I think Rampage will do excellent in other organizations.
