Quick Twitt: Nick Diaz is in Montreal for today’s UFC 158 Press Conference | UFC News
Former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz (26-8 MMA, 7-5 UFC) did not make the same mistake twice; as he arrived in Montreal, Canada this morning for the UFC 158 press conference.
Diaz will sit opposite his nemesis Georges St. Pierre (23-2 MMA, 17-2 UFC) at today’s conference which is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT) at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
The Stockton native, Diaz, no-showed a scheduled press conference in Toronto for his first scheduled fight with GSP at UFC 137, he then missed a second press conference in Las Vegas after missing a flight, prompting UFC President Dana White to pull him from the championship bout.
“Rush” was eventually forced to pull out of UFC 137 with an injury, so Nick was promoted back in to the card’s main event, where he defeated B.J. Penn via decision.
Their second scheduled meeting, which was slated for UFC 143, fell through after GSP injured his knee. “Rush” wouldn’t fight again until this past November at UFC 154 in Montreal, where he defeated interim titleholder Carlos Condit.
UFC 158 is set to go down March 16th live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Stay tuned to bjpenn.com for all the UFC 158 press conference drama.
