Chris Leben found himself under Dana White’s microscope following his lackluster decision loss to Derek Brunson at this past weekend’s UFC 155 event.
The UFC boss said it was a mistake to put the fight on the pay-per-view portion of the card.
To that, the middleweight fighter took to twitter to explain his side.

i hear ya, its sad to see a professinal fighter at the highest stage of the game, have such a gap in his game.. I mean iv seen guys at our gym whov been there for 6 months that had a better understanding of striking. You dont even have to go to thailand, most of the greats are already here in america. I guess he would just rather lube up, throw on some spandex and WRASTLE
I heard he did some crossfit-like training which is why he gassed out so early. My coach said if you do crossfit, he will not coach you in the ring/cage because you are fighting someone not flipping tires or pushing sleds in the ring.
Leben can say whatever he wants, the fact remains he got beat.. making excuses just makes him look like a sore loser.. Brunson obviously needs some striking help, but his grappling is legit.. And if I remember correctly, in the Countdown show, Leben said it didnt matter where the fight took place, he would beat Brunson anywhere. I guess it didnt pan out for him.

Agreed. Leben is making excuses. He lost to a guy who, realistically, took the fight on a couple of days notice… So full of it.
