Quick Twitt | Kenny Florian Joins The Great Weed Debate

We hardly make it through a week without a fighter getting suspended for the use of Marijuana.

As the cannabis movement stretches across the country, more and more people are seeking legal use of a once illegal narcotic.

While several states in our country now allow the use of marijuana either recreationally or for medical use, the bodies that govern Mixed Martial Arts refuse to adapt their rules to allow out of competition use and it’s generating countless problems for fighters as well as garnering a heavy amount of public back lash.

The latest key figure to chime on this situation is former UFC fighter, and current UFC commentator, Kenny Florian.

It’s not a PED so it shouldn’t be on the list.

  2. punchkickchoke says:

its bullshit that someone like belfort cant smoke weed but can use TRT legally…everyone these days is educated about the affects of steroids on the bodies ability to produce testosterone naturally,so why allow someone to use trt because past steroid use has destroyed their bodies natural functions, come on UFC just look at belfort in his early days and compare him to his body structure today try and convince any educated health professional that he wasnt on steriods,IF WEED IS ILLEGAL THEN TRT OR ANY TYPE OF PED SHOULD ALSO BE ILLEGAL, AT ANY LEVEL, WHATEVER THE EXCUSE, IF A FIGHTERS BODY HAS LOW TESTOSTERONE LEVELS THEN THATS HOW THEY SHOULD FIGHT ,AS IS . DO WE REALLY call for more transparency in mma now because it is so highly professional and the money is so big?
