Kos can’t knock off possible title contenders, it’s bad for business, even if he will fight anyone on a weeks notice.
Kos needs to look at moneyweight fights. Shields- Tito- Leben, loser of BJ vs Diaz, (or winner if Bj and GSP both win their next fight)

gsps best opponent since bj is condit. look at the track records of everyone else. thiago got schooled by story, shields got ktfo by ellenberger, koscheck been ktfo by thiago, and hardy get owned by anyone not names gsp. gimme a break, condit is serious.

Give it to him. If Condit doesn’t take it, I see it as a bad move. If he does he’s going to gain respect. If you’re really the number one contender you should prove it, and if you lose, you just proved you didn’t belong there in the first place.
I know that your logic seems right to you, but it really isn’t. It’s quite ridiculous to be honest. There are many other things to consider taking a fight besides winning and moving on to the next opponent.

Isn’t it 2011? And didn’t GSP fight in like April at UFC 129? this would’ve been his second fight this year. I think it’s more accurate to say he fights every six months, not once a year.
no he fought Kos in december of 2010 and Shields in 2011…its now gonna be 2012 in 2 months and he’s fought once in 2011.

I never agree with fighters sitting out to wait for title shots. Hasn’t worked out too well for Fitch of Rashad when they’ve done it. JDS decided to fight rather than wait and he’s got another title shot coming up. Man up Condit, take the Koscheck fight.

Kos truly does step up and fight anyone at short notice!! You can understand Condit not wanting to fight anyone but GSP but he will definitely lose respect! I mean it was GSP and Diaz, Condit got it by default!! I think if he fights Kos and beats him he will prove that he is the number 1 contender, but he doesnt want to lose this opportunity.
Its tricky situation though, if Kos beats him and he could very well beat him, I dont see Dana putting on GSP and Kos 3. So it makes sense not to fight Kos at this point! I think if Condit dethrones GSP, Kos could get another shot at the title against Condit?
I just think Condit doesnt want to lose this opportunity which is fair enough. Have there been any other fighters who where in a title fight and then took another fight on short notice because of the champion being injured?
