Imma call in injuried for work today

  2. OakcliffTopdog says:

Let the Korean Zombie eat Edgar’s face off!

  3. Me says:

Co-Main Event: Frankie Edgar – Korean Zombie or Chad Mendes
Main Event: Anderson Silva vs Glover Teixeria (LWH Bout)
    How about that suggestion guys?

  4. Sasquatch says:

F*&$IN SON OF A B!TCH!!!… this is getting ridiculous!

  5. Xaninho says:

Damn something’s wrong with the way fighters prepare/train for a fight. Way too much injuries lately.

    • Me says:

I read on another MMA site that he kicked the car he collided after his accident thus giving him this injury not sure if that’s 100% true or not.

      • Xaninho says:

That would be pretty stupid if that is how he got injured…Imagine being lucky enough to get in a motorcycle accident with a car, miraculously able to walk away without injuries and then injuring his foot because he kicked the car…He’s one of my absolute favorites, but that is just dumb.

  6. B-rad says:

Looks like event #2 is on its way to bein cancelled

    • Eric El Beast says:

it seems like it. of Korean Zombie steps vs Edgar and James Te-Huna or Stephan Bonnar steps vs Texeira. The event maybe saves. Although, we’ll see

      • pimp stronghand says:

Te-Huna/Texeira would be a good one. Or hell, give Brandon Vera the fight! He looked back to good form against Shogun and if he showed up looking like that it would be a helluva fight!

  7. Bob'O says:

    Unbelievable. ~Bob’O

  8. MMACRAVER says:

Some upstart company needs to develop all new training tools. We have headgear we have shin guards.

There’s got to be some more devices we can come up with to keep the fighters in one piece during training.

Wrap these fuckers in bubblewrap or something.

  9. Yogurt slinger says:

Wow! I think this is a chess play by Aldo’s camp personally. Not saying Aldo’s ankle is hurt but it’s been a couple weeks now.

  10. Donovan says:

What in tha goddamn shit fuckin MMA world is going on!!!!!????!!!!!!

  11. Black Jesus says:

Now they are really cracking down on steroid abuse, these fighters can’t train like they used to and heal up. The UFC has shot themselves in the foot on this one. I also think that if the purses were bigger the fighters would perhaps be a little healthier too. I would really like to know what Dana White’s salary is per event vs the main card fighters. No steroids and low pay = shitty ppv’s and constant injuries.

  12. itsallnonsense says:

This is related to the motorcycle accident Aldo was in recently.

  13. Murphy says:

Man that really sucks I’m tired of these injuries

  14. Mike b says:

What the fuck is going on,this is fucking bullshit.

  15. Reg says:

What the hell is going on!

  16. Texas says:

    MMA is crumbling!

  17. Zack says:

Dana needs to put his fat foot down. If you can’t tame it down and not get hurt then your done. Their job is to get hurt in the cage. This is getting rediculous. Pretty soon there will be one ppv card a year cuz all the fighters are actually injured, faking a injury, or milking a injury.

  18. Eric El Beast says:

too much injuries, an event cancelled, and the year hasn’t end yet. I hope this is the last negative thing to happen to the UFC. Today Matsuyenko, Rampage and Aldo injured. Thats some random crazy shit

  19. Xaninho says:

Ah well we still have Bellator…

  20. Drew says:

Of course the UFC has faked Injuries for players what sport hasn’t but honestly in this situation I believe also got Injured from getting by a car when he was on his motorcycle, and why would rampage not fight glover when rampage has been saying of late that mma is boring and he might go kickboxing even he only punches so I’m sure rampage wanted to enter a slugfest with glover, dude rampage and glover I was so pumped for ya maybe shogun should get a pair and fight glover, not talking shit on shogun hes a favorite or mine but the fans want to gloves face someone who is a skilled striker that can put people to sleep ala rampage or shogun

  21. 123 says:

atleast they have time to get replacements in, better not be cancelled again.

  22. Milkman says:

    This is out of control!!

  23. m says:

    Goddabe fuckin kidding me.

These guys train way too hard these days. Need to go back to the Chuck LIdell days….drink beer and party in between fights.

  24. Quinn says:

The whole structure of training and the time required to prepare for a fight need to be re-evaluated in MMA. One one hand, fighters don’t want to commit to a fight on short notice and on the other hand, fighters get injured while training for a fight.
They get injured training more often than they do fighting!
Having them wear protected gear while training and having the training coaches set up a training program where there’s a minimum risk of injury? I’m not sure if that’s something that can be done but something needs to be looked at obviously.
Having the balance between the rigorous training workouts and allowing the body to recuperate might be what is missing. After all, the human body has it’s limits regardless of who it is. Having the gear on is good but for some fighters, they feel it hampers their training so go figure.
It’s definitely a dilemma no doubt for MMA and for the UFC but the fighters and coaching staff need to look at their approach on training with their fighters where there’s a balanced training preparation. Otherwise it can have a rippling affect financially for both fighter and organization.

  25. Ghostwheel says:

    Hey I’m gay

  26. Some Guy says:

Fucking Hell. I’m no fighter, but it’s CRAZY just how many injuries these guys get. It’s almost annoying. I’m slowly losing respect for the UFC and MMA from all this “Will-Be” fights that turn in to “Could-have-been” fights when guys get injured.

  27. Ray says:

How many of u guys have seen someone fighting on the prelims getting injured. Seems like always is the main event or big fights. This is a fuc*** joke. Since they start paying for all medical bills now everybody gets injured i know it happens but shit this is crazy. For some reason i think all this injuries are not legit.

  28. Coots says:

How about Ronda rousey vs Gina carano

  29. ToniToniToni says:

Two injuries or inactivity in one year should automatically strip the titleholder. Edgar vs Zombie for the stipped title should be damn good. Fight night bonuses should also be limited to one per fighter per event, so the take isn’t so lopsided forcing fighters to take on another fight instead of taking a break. Edgar should take a break from so much action.

  30. sfg says:

get BJ, Rory in there. He has a bitch cut that is definatley healed now. They’ve both been training for months. That’s the replacement right there.

  31. punchkick says:

    frankie vs korean zombie!

  32. Waiting on Aldo vs. Edgar says:

This is ridiculous. I was looking foward to this fight since before it was gunna happen and when it finally gets a date, just a few weeks later it’s not gunna go down. Ufc needs to quit playing with my hopes and dreams! Haha. Wanted to see jones vs hendo and jackson vs texeira too.
