Yesterday evening during the UFC on FX 5 main event, heavyweight Travis Browne was visually injured in the first round of action.

At one point during the televised broadcast ringside commentator Kenny Florian stated that Browne’s footwork was that of a Dominick Cruz. However, his hopping and shifting of stances was not technical footwork, it was the favoring of an injured knee that ended up costing Browne his undefeated record.

  1. dothraki says:

if Greg Jacko didn’t try to make all his fighters dance, then just maybe Browne wouldn’t have blown his knee out doing his DDR moves.

  2. Bob says:

aggressive fighters shouldnt train in gregs camp, they will lose their swag..

  3. F-Benson says:

Even if you didnt use the word swag that comment would be stupid

  4. Zack says:

Travis needs to go train at blackhouse if he wants to fight like he tried successfully.

  5. GRT 3000 says:

He should of just stuck to what he does best…he tried going all Karate kid in there and finished himself.

  6. NYKINGKILLA says:

Greg Jackson looks like a weirdo pedophile

  7. The natural says:

His coach should have warmed him up better to prevent an injury before the fight

  8. Dick Diaz says:

While watching Travis Browne move during this fight, I thought to myself how can someone so big move like this ? i’m pretty sure at HW you simply can’t move the way he was moving without putting that much pressure on your joints and body…

  9. jon smith says:

So Cruz’s footwork is that of a guy with a blown out knee? Not really Florian but good try. I dont hate Florian at all but I’m really not a fan of his commentary. Would expect more insight from a real fighter than he usually gives. Doesn’t matter who won this fight because neither matches up against JDS. Oh well, on to the next event

  10. Xaninho says:

Browne looked like a first time beginner at a kickboxing gym. I don’t know what he was thinking with those novice kicks, he looked ridiculous.

    • The Truth says:

I was scratching my head a bit with his technique myself and from what I was watching during the intros, Browne did not look very relaxed. I’m kinda curious if there was something wrong before he even stepped in the cage..??

      • Xaninho says:

The knee happened during the fight, but maybe he wasn’t prepared mentally. Maybe Bigfoot got inside his head with the staredown antics or something. When he started kicking my friends and I were like “wtf is he doing?”

  11. kong says:

thats what he gets for holding his arm over the fence
