  1. Jake says:

I’m juiced! I hope he gets that fire back. So he can take his thrown back at 155

  2. Evans or Hendo says:

Jones will be outclassed and exposed by Evans, but somehow will retain. Hendo will KO Jon Jones and finally win a UFC Belt not tournament. SF LHW, Pride FC MW, LHW. Dan Henderson just came off fight of the century with Shogun, KO on The Emperor Fedor, Feijao, Sobral, Bisping, tough fights with Paul Harris even gave Anderson his first round loss in UFC.

Jones aint ALI as he believes to be,
If he’s ALI, then Evans is Fraser,
As we saw their 1st fight and we all know what happened
Ali couldnt handle the strenght or the quickness
Of a fearless opponent who smoked him into pieces

  3. RhendO says:

    I have soiled my pantaloons!

  4. Jb says:

I love bj!!! But if you think your going to see him dominate, your high. Still hall of fame but never going to hold the belt again

  5. J boogie says:

This is about Bj penn you idiot, penns the truth. Hope you return to your rubber days, that’s what I want to see. Confident BJJ penn

  6. Don says:

It is always a pleasure watching BJ Penn train for a fight, & especially watching him fight! He is a very skillful fighter! Heck yeah, would love to see him fight again!

  7. PJ says:

Please come back and fight again. Not for the fans… but honestly, because you have so much left to give to the sport. You are the absolute epitome of “warrior”. Don’t move up in weight, just fight guys in your own weight class and show the world once again that you truly are a master of your weight class. It’s so admirable that you are so fearless as to fight anyone, in any weight class… but the point has well been proven. You are a champion not once but twice… so that will never be taken away from you. Just come back and fight because the UFC needs your warrior spirit. That’s all I can say to plead with you to come back. You always have been and will continue to be my favorite UFC fighter, whether you come back or not. You truly are an inspiration.

  8. Kenflo says:

Lmao … That was fucking random

  9. neal kenny says:

i think it would be great,i’v always wondered if he could get to 145.might be too much but would be very interesting.

  10. Calvin says:

BJ Penn vs Bendo would be sick

  11. greatest harry potter wizard says:

bj’s too lazy ;). My favorite fighter of all the time, I Love the guy, but he needs to work on his training camps.

  12. PJ says:

if he can truly dedicate himself to the sport and another title run at 155 (PLEASE no more 170), I’d love to see it. Otherwise, I can’t bare to see him take another loss =(

    • Kamal says:

I agree with you PJ. I love to watch him fight and is the first fighter I got into when I started watching MMA. Watching him lose again would suck for me as a fan. Hopefully it lights a fire under his butt and gets him motivated to go for another run…

  13. G says:

    Lets do it BJ!!!!

  14. maurice says:

  15. v says:

If BJ comes back motivated and is 100%, there’s no telling what this guy is capable of.

  16. Tyler says:

BJ is one of my favorite fighters. When I saw him in Detroit the whole crowd was screaming BJ’s name! Their is no way he is out of his prime just yet and I believe he can still be a champion. I think if he comes back, he should drop back to 155 fight Edgar for some payback, then take Benson’s crown.

  17. Jujitsu Player says:

War BJ! Come back at 155lb and batter Henderson….

  18. BJ W S says:

Aloha! Yo, first of all let me give a shout out to BJ and say that he is one of the most insprational fighters of our time, every fight you got I watch because you represent someone who is not afraid to step out represent the underdog! Peoples opinion only matters as much as you let it, what really matters is what’s in your heart.

May God be with you in what ever you do.
    (Baby) John Schulte

  19. Ruben says:

I dont know if one tweet is enough to get him to do a hard 8 week camp.

  20. Dana white says:

    you’re welcome

  21. Ly-er says:

Yah, this little bit of news really made my morning at work more cheerful!! LOL “MMA needs BJ Penn!!!!

  22. A.James says:

    Come back and clean house!

  23. koolG says:

cmon bj you know your a great fighter you didnt need a compliment to get you going again, you just need to train properly you tend to get a bit lazy =]

  24. isaiah D says:

You know this.. Ill be there no matter what. I just hope it dosnt cost to much!

  25. Alex says:

Its all about the cardio for bj. If it wasnt for that, his record would look totally different. Talentwise bj is as good as it gets, but against some of these guys, with top wrestling and great cardio, I think it would be very hard for bj because the wrestler can make him work and make him tired. So bj if you come back, you need to get yourself in shape. Let me come and train you, I would get you in shape in no time! 😉

  26. maurice says:

and stop with the “no more ww” comments. personally i think bj performs great at lw..until his cardio begans to fade. bj in shape can fight at either weight comfortable. thats y he “beat up” the 2 best ww legends, gsp and hughes.

  27. slacker says:

He should come back to lightweight. Work on that cardio and footwork. If he wrestles guys like he did Fitch but in the LW division, his well – roundedness will be deadly. But it’s all meaningless without improved cardio. He’s gotta commit to improved cardio.

  28. Chris Taylor says:

Come back BJ! Let’s do this!

  29. Crusher says:

Look guys let BJ sit on the side and recharge his batteries for a little while and not rush back cause the fans want to see him fight, honestly i want to see him fight when he is motivated and really want’s to fight because that is when BJ’s at his best.

If the time off makes him hungry thats the best thing, he left Calif to go home during the middle of his training camp for Diaz no way his head was into it.

Recharge and re energize, IMO BJ only lose because he let it happen he didn’t train like he could, BJ expand your game like you did when you trained with the Marinovich’s
GSP is so good because he goes around and trains with the best guys in each discipline
some of the guys you bring in to train with make me wonder sometimes.

  30. Brennan says:

Anything BJ decides to do I support he has given so much and is such a perfect example of what a mma athlete should personify. Whether he decides to come back or not he is and will continue to be a true legend. Love ya BJ

  31. Brennan says:

Whatever you decide youre a true legend BJ love watching you fight and have all the respect in the world for you as a fighter and a human.

  32. the smurf says:

Bj I think you should fight when your ready and when you feel your up to it . you are a legend and will remain tha way . Even the best fall down . It happened for a reason . You have a family and you should enjoy the life god gave you in peace . By all means you should train adn coach , but in the end you should follow your heart.

  33. T.Daddy says:

    Comeback bj

  34. Lol says:

Come back because u want to not because we want u too. We want that bad mean motha with that fire in his eyes only!!

  35. Duane says:

I will only support the Legends return if he parts ways with his brother as a manager/ head of training camp. Let’s face it, you can’t get by with sub par conditioning anymore. Maynard already took the winning formula so idk what the plan would be. I don’t want to see BJ struggle due to cardio, seen it too much already.
Get with a real strength and condition program (nfl strength and condition style) and no one i repeat no one will be able to hang with BJ.

  36. hayden says:

i want to see penn vs mia

  37. A. Chung says:

I agree that BJ needs time to recharge his battery and to regain his hunger. Take your time man; however, I am looking forward to the day you decide to step back in the octagon. Don’t let anyone rush you back. Come back at your own term!

  38. Rondo says:

Fkn sweet bring it on baby J!!

  39. Adam Gould says:

BJ will come back to MMA when he is ready and thats the only time i want to see his return. BJ is one of the most exciting fighters on the planet and one of the most talented when he is focused on the game… 155lb belt could be his again if he decided it and focused on it but if he doesnt come back he’s still a true Champion and a Hall of Famer. Thank you BJ Penn for all the exciting fights you have put on for us

  40. mmadred says:

heli yeah i would love for BJ to return to action. at the same time i 100% will stand the decision that the G.O.A.T. makes. BJ FAN 4LIFE!!! i would love to see BJ at 145 and 155

  41. Jimi says:

I knew meeting bj in stockholm was a sign of things to come haha. Maybe i´ll get the chance to see him fight live too! fingers crossed

  42. Trevor says:

I can’t take this roller coaster anymore. Please come back BJ. And don’t say you’re thinking about it because it gets my hopes up.

  43. Jimi says:

does anyone know if bj even reads this?

  44. Punisher says:

Still and always has been my favorite pro athlete. There’s something special shared between BJ and his people it’s in the blood ALL Hawaiians are warriors and do not know how to be anything else and it’s contagious regardless of race. Would love to see him return, no rush though, let him spend time his family and people. Return or not always a legend in my book.

  45. Deets says:

Am I the only one who thinks the quotation marks around “Heart” made the statement sarcastic, and therefore made Sugar Ray a huge look like an asshole?

  46. Punisher says:

Anyone ever held titles in 3 different weight classes? Hmmmmmm….170,155,145?

  47. Kanani says:

OH MAN, it would be so great to have BJ back. No one represented Hawaii so much and accomplish that much with Aloha pride than BJ Penn. Really excited to hear that “MAYBE” he might return. Thats a good response than no response at all.

I hope one day we get to see “THE PRODIGY” once again in the octagon

    ALOHA from Oahu

  48. Jason N says:

how about a tune up fight.

  49. Scotty says:

Best tweet I read all day! Im telling u, BJ needs people around him to fire him up.. Look what happened when these guys called him out? It built a fire inside him and he trained his ass off for it! Sugar Ray Leonard tweets BJ about his heart, One of the greatest boxers ever, just tweets u something like that, it will set a flame inside u! I feel BJ still wants it, just hiding it and needs something to bring it back up! BJ needs to come back, its still his time!!! 155 title awaits him!

  50. says:

i agree…bj has big heart,,most fighters would not have come out for the 3rd round against diaz afteer he was getting smashed on on the cage and was right out of stamina…i have respect for bj because of that…but if the fight was a 5 rounder then bj heart would show just like the gsp fight,,,has diaz been 5 riunder he would have quit just like with gsp but if 5 rounder diaz would have probly finish him,,cuz he aint no btch like gsp…he fights to finish

  51. Cj says:

Whatever you decide to do bro you’ll still be one of my favorite fighters ! Take your time and just go with whatever your heart tells you

  52. MolokaiBoy says:

BJ, BJPENN.COM, and SUGAR RAY LEONARD, ALL made my day!! Yes BJ come back and kick everybodies ass!!… lol :) :) You got this Hawaiian, give it one last shot and go after that 3rd belt, any belt it doesn’t matter!. Today just got WAY better

  53. Anthony says:

The former “two division UFC champion”.

  54. Steve says:

Please BJ Please fight again. But not until you hire Marinovich to train you. You never looked better. Remember Diego? Damn you kicked his ass.

  55. toneloc24 says:

We love u Bj and if u decide to stay retired we will all support u. U were one of the only real warriors left in the game and we all miss u. That being said come back and get that strap bro!!

  56. Twayne says:

Whatever decsision u make Champ. My O’hana supports u to da” fullest!!!

  57. Medicine Man says:

BJ PENN! Much love from So Cal brotha, do what you need to do, and when your ready, you have my and many other people who support you. Your heart and determination gives me inspiration when I need that flame to continue fighting for my dream.

  58. WE MISS YOU BJ! says:

ALL I GOTTA SAY IS F*CKEN “A!!!!” JUST TO HEAR BJ “THINKING” ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF FIGHTING AGAIN IS DA BOMB! For whatever the reason Sugar Ray made that comment [positive, sarcastic, whatever] I’m just glad he said it! Thank you! It’s just so refreshing to hear some glimmer of hope in the possibility of BJ’s return. AWESOME!

  59. wrstlr152 says:

I would love to see BJ fight Henderson, I think styles make fights and this fight would be a standup war.. I wonder who would have the advantage if the fight went to the ground?

  60. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

    I’m positive he’ll be back in 2013.

  61. #1 Haole says:

He should only come back if he is truly dedicated. I have witnessed his whole career even before the UFC. He could have been the best ever. But lack of focus, discipline, and conditioning attributed to almost every loss he’s had.

  62. BJ, when you are ready and hopefully soon. Come back and fight Gilbert Melendez! That would be a huge draw at 155!

  63. Tom Ryan says:

Hell yea BJ!! You’re one of the only real fighters out there. Pull a Randy, and own this game til you’re 46. Big fights, couple more championships, who knows.

Everyone hits a slump, but “a Champion is someone who gets up, when he can’t” – Jack Dempsey

Prove Jack right. Hope to see you in the octagon braddah!! HANA HOU!!

  64. STEPHEN HORGAN says:

wow cool,,bj story has yet to be finished,,hope he gets the fire back
