BJPENN.COM Contest Announcement!

Win a round-trip ticket from anywhere in the United States to Las Vegas, Nevada for the UFC 98! If you win the OUT OF THE RING AND INTO THE WORLD CONTEST, you get to attend the UFC 98 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with BJ Penn –and of course, that includes a ticket to the fights and hotel accommodations too!

Watch Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida go head to head –and catch Matt Hughes and Matt Serra settling their longstanding grudge! The UFC 98 happens on Saturday, May 23, 2009, so time is of the essence:

It’s The Out of the Ring and Into The World Contest!

As you may already know, BJ Penn and the Penn Team have announced the BJ PENN LIVE LIKE A CHAMPION PROJECT; it’s a radical 1-year online martial arts school-owner and instructor training program set to begin January 1, 2010.

The “LIVE” Project is looking for 300 martial arts teachers and instructors from 300 different cities around the world to reform and revolutionize instructor training in the international martial arts community (For information on The “LIVE” Project, sign up for the LIVE LIKE A CHAMPION NEWSLETTER on the front page of BJPENN.COM).

Part of the mission of The “LIVE” Project is to show martial arts teachers the power of taking the martial arts “out of the ring –and putting it to work in the world.” In tribute to this idea, our contest challenges BJPENN.COM members to do the following:

CONTEST GUIDELINES:

To be in the running to win a room, airfare, and tickets to the UFC 98, you get to plan, organize, execute, and film a COMMUNITY PROJECT (something you do in your community that benefits someone or something).

* Your Community Project Video (Your short-video showing what your Community Project entailed) must be posted on BJPENN.COM no later than 12:00 am PST on Monday, May 18th, 2009. It must also be tagged “Community Project.”
* Remember: Your project must offer aid, help, comfort, and/or some kind of benefit or service to something or someone (or a group) in your own community.
* Your video should document the event and show your results; videos should be no longer than 10 minutes in duration (under 5 minutes is preferred).
* Go to THIS LINK (communityproject.bjpenn.com) for a more in-depth explanation and examples of acceptable community projects (and we even have a recorded tutorial and guidelines to help you, plus a phone number you can call if you need more assistance!).

Contest entries will be judged on the quality of your project and on its presentation. The contest’s judges are THE MEMBERS OF BJPENN.COMB, J Penn, JD and Reagan Penn, Kendall Grove, Tom Callos, and the Editors of UPROAR and INSIDE KUNG FU Magazines (they’re also going to cover the winning entry in their magazines!).

There’s no time to waste! There’s only two weeks to accomplish your project!

Aloha Jayfar. Anyone can enter, but the airfare is only from a US airport. Sorry!

Oh and I'm not presuming that someone couldn't possibly do more. Just the fact that she was doing this before she knew about the contest. And that's gonna make it hard to beat. But if someone does more, than they deserve to win!

Thank You BJ!!! This is how KARMA works! My wife is going to win this contest, and she'll probably fight me along the way, but. She just did a food drive for Scott County Indiana. She works for the US Postal Service in Austin, and for the past 15 years they've not participated in the USPS food drive for your community. Brandy wanted her office to do the food drive this year, but was met with "no one will donate, we've done that before" and "no one cares and no one will help". Well my wife made them eat their words in one way at least! They were right in the sense that no one would help, they ment "they" would not help "her". But she recruited a retired postal worker and our 13 year old daughter, and organized, directed and worked the entire drive, from getting sponsors like Wal Mart, to ordering posters and flyers, to sitting for hours at the Austin grocery. Gladly collecting any and all she could. My wifes efforts paid off tremendously for the community. Her efforts amounted to 2,805 lbs of canned goods. More than had ever been collected before. How much more? The most they had ever turned in before (15 years ago) was approx 100 lbs!!!! No that's not a typo, One hundred pounds! Compared to, Two thousand, eight hundred and five pounds! From a town who's population is only 4724... The paper is printing a story about this, but it isn't released until Wed. morning. So I won't be able to put that in the video, but I will post it after it runs. I am so happy to be a member of BJPENN.COM! I wouldn't be able to get my wife's extraordinary accomplishments recognized! Now, to get this all on video!
Thank You for once again running another awesome contest!
