About Me:

I'm a 26 year old Southern California native. I've traveled and lived all over the world and love it. I miss Hawaii everyday. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is my passion in life. I was first introduced to BJJ in 1999, and (like many others) immediately fell in Love. I've been training and competing in BJJ and MMA since 2002. My first professional MMA fight was in 2005. I now have a pro record of 7-3-0.

Interests:

BJJ, obviously... I enjoy so much of life! The ocean. I enjoy all water sports, but I just like being near the open ocean. I like to travel, watch movies & listen to music. NCAA football.

Favorite Music:

I enjoy almost all music, and I'm not the type of person who says that with exceptions! Reggae, Rock, Hip-hop, Rap, Classic Rock, Country, Folk, Bossanova, Classical, Blues, Bluegrass, etc.... What can I say? I Like music.

Favorite Movies:

Schindler's List, Jaws, Donnie Darko, Lock-Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Conan, Letting Go, The Departed, Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, Way of the Gun, Once were Warriors, Boondock Saints, The Godfather trilogy.... I'm a big fan of alot of movies! I like various types of films. Spielberg, Kurosawa, Hitchcock, Scorcese, & Tarantino are all among my favorites.

Favorite Television Shows:

Not alot of time for full TV shows. ESPN whenever I can. I like Family Guy, The Simpsons, The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart, Colbert Report, The Boondocks, and random stuff....hate to admit it, but i've become a channel surfer lately.

Favorite Books and Magazines:

Alot of books have influenced my life, but most recently read "Becoming Holyfield" (by Evander) and "Wrestling Tough". Magazines?...GracieMag and Grappling

You'll find that alot of females play over here in Australia and New Zealand. Its a great to play, no padding needed just nautral raw strength and skill lol. There are 2 official BJJ schools down here, Ryan Gracie Team and Gracie Barra, and some purple or browns that runs places but no too big. I've been rogue for the last year due to injuries-- moreso one to a lateral collateral ligament (which now seems to be 100%), and a few ongoing vertebral issues (... thank you jiu jitsu.. haha). In January, I'll be back in with some old training buddies over at Throwdown Elite most likely. I have to say I'm really interested in trying some Pekiti Tirsia on the side though...
Out of curiosity, did you have any pankration matches prior to your cagefights?
