This past Sunday on BJPenn.com Radio, hosts Mitch Ciccarelli and Bryan Levick were joined by three ultra-tough MMA stars including UFC light heavyweight slugger Joey Beltran, former UFC middleweight Jake Rosholt and devastating UFC welterweight Matt “The Immortal” Brown.

After being cut from the UFC’s heavyweight division at the start of the year, Beltran returned to the organization this past July as a light heavyweight at UFC on Fuel TV: Munoz vs. Weidman. Beltran was defeated by James Te Huna via unanimous decision. The bout earned Beltran “Fight of the Night” honors as he absorbed an incredible amount of punishment from Te Huna and still managed to stay on his feet for the duration of the bout.

A three-time NCAA Division I wrestler, Rosholt was last seen in the UFC three years ago at UFC 106 losing via submission to Kendall Grove. Since then, Rosholt has gone 6-2-1 in other organizations and is set to headline Xtreme Fight Night 9 in Oklahoma against fellow UFC vet Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. The bout will take place in the 205-lbs division and the winner will certainly edge themselves closer to potentially getting resigned by the UFC.

Recently married, Brown has reignited his career with a three-fight win streak over Chris Cope, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Luis Ramos. He will fight on the main card of UFC on FOX 5 against fellow slugger Mike “Quick” Swick in what is bound to be an action packed battle.
