  1. FunCrusher says:

Diaz has a great chin but Condit is very capable of putting him to sleep. With that being said, Diaz by beat down on the feet, then finish with a sub.

    • dom#1 says:

Good joke condit’s gonna embarass this kid and his sloppy standup. Diaz fought bj who came up from lightweight beat up hughes and fitch, as you saw in the fitch fight bj’s cardio was bad just like in the diaz fight… Condit will destroy this kid, whata easy paycheck.

  2. StyleBender says:

Nick is a dude who’s work ethic inspires me to go hard. Dude never quits and is quirky as f##k! War Diaz!!!!

    • bruts says:

hes a true warrior carlos is a true mixed martial artist, when you put someone in the cage who cant be knocked or tapped theres a very high chance that, that person will win. diaz by unanimous decision…

  3. Taylor says:

No way is Diaz losing this fight. Carlos won’t be able to do his fancy muay thai when he’s being backed up the whole time. Nick Diaz will put Carlos away…

  4. Nick says:

If Condit doesn’t put Nick away in the first round he will lose. Nick’s pace is unrelenting. I got Nick by decision or late stoppage.

  5. jeremy says:

short and sweet. Carlos condit won’t beat Nick Diaz.period.

  6. slacker says:

Diaz won that staredown. But Condit will bounce back.

    • sandman says:

condit needs to bounce back alright, off the floor. he has to be getting over an illness. you can hear it in his voice. he’s very congested in the last few interviews and this presser.
we’ll see how he looks at the weigh in after he dehydrates – that’s gotta suck. even sick he’ll do okay. i hope he is 100% though, cuz homeboy is gonna pop him in that stuffed up nose of his about 300 times. 209 is the new NyQuil, putting the sick to sleep.

      • slacker says:

Yeah, I noticed that in his voice in his interview with Helwani. Well, Diaz may not get much of a chance to do his thing if Carlos connects on him early. I think there is a very real possibility Condit could end this early.

        • mmaislandjunkie says:

i think theres a possibility they can both end it early, doesnt that just make the fight that much more exciting?!? in my eyes the winner of this fight is the true ppls champ of the ww division!

        • Chartmonster says:

Nick ain’t knocking carlos out, so he better sub him or it’ll go to decision. Now Carlos is a power house and should knock Diaz out or will win the decision. Theres something powerful about Carlos not just his physical strength but an inner strength ..

        • slacker says:

Yeah, if Diaz is able to successfully walk Condit back against the fence, and keep him there, then for sure. This is one of the most anticipated MMA fights I’ve ever looked forward to! I never thought about ppls champion. It seems to me Diaz and Condit, along with GSP, all have a very strong fanbase. If it goes to a 4 or 5 round war, then yeah, I could see the winner, winning the hearts of the people.

        • slacker says:

I agree with you Chart, obviously. These are the intangiables that make us pick one person over another in evenly matched fights. Even though Diaz has the superior cardio, Condit just seems to have this iron will to win, which he showcased in the Ellenberger and MacDonald fights.

        • slacker says:

IMO, ironic as it may seem, I believe Nick’s best chance to win is on the ground with his BJJ. I am really curious to see what each of them shows us in fight strategies. I think one or both of them is going to surprise us by employing a strategy that is unexpected by their opponent.

        • Mo says:

It’s gonna be one hell of a fight !

  7. I guess says:

“Its going to be a dog fight” – condit

This fight has got me excited, they look so equal physically.

Whoever has the better stand up, wins this one..

So Nick should win, unless he gets caught, Doubt it though!!

    • slacker says:

Like anything though, your mindset is day by day, moment by moment. We will see how the weigh – in staredown goes. Nick can impose the mental confidence of great cardio, while Carlos can impose the confidence of great finisher. Truth is, they both know either one is capable of winning this fight. But, it’s good if you can make your opponent doubt himself beforehand, obviously.

  8. mmaislandjunkie says:

wtf is condit wearing? i think nick already got in his head, condits getting ready for a desk job after this fight lol.

  9. david.uppercut says:

why does Nick diaz always wear the same hoody?

  10. lolziez says:

soo many people hated Diaz before, just because of what they read about his demeanor and what not, now suddenly “oh man i love Diaz, hes awesome, great cardio blah blah blah” fuck all the bandwagoners. i like both fighters and its hard to pick who i think will win cause they are both so evenly matched in height, style, heart. i will give Diaz the “slight” edge if it goes past the 3rd round, but Condit wont gas as fast as BJ did or half his other opponents. GL to both fighters

    • mmaislandjunkie says:

finally got some exciting fighters in the ufc ww division. for a while i thought the division was gonna be taken over by the gsps and fitches of the world. glad they have warriors again mixing it up.

  11. andyboy says:

someone, who isnt much of a knowledgeable fan, said “look how he holds his hands, he looks like a street thug who goes to a gym”…………………………………….Yes, i did stand up out of my chair and asked him to name 3 people fighting on this card including Diaz and Condit if he wanted hahahaa, no he couldn’t. “that black guy with blond hair” was his best guess. anyways I then proceeded to point out that if i were to look at that pic and pick who i’d want to box i would pick Condit because when he goes to pose in a “fight stance” his hands rest below his chin whereas Diaz with his “street thug pose” natuarlally has his hands up………he literally didn’t understand the point….FML i need a new job hahaha

  12. MARVIN says:

  13. Chartmonster says:

Diaz’s chin is ripe for the picking and Carlos will pick it like it’s Florida oranges.

  14. Zack says:

This should be a really good fight. Carlos hasn’t fought in a while so I hope he comes ready to scrap cuz nicks gunna turn this into a boxing match. If it goes to the ground I give nick the advantage but standing up I would say its dead even. Nick has great boxing and cardio but not a lot of power. Carlos has explosive power and good muay Thai. These guys could fight ten times and there would be a different outcome. It’s gunna be a good one.

  15. ZeroXcuses says:

Would be cool to see condit come out with some leg kicks to help slow diaz down. Worked for aldo.

    • mmaislandjunkie says:

didnt work for cyborg or cerrone.

    • slacker says:

The best thing Condit can do is work a good mix of stand – up and take – downs. He has the skill and stamina to do it. Or like B.J. did, Condit can go forward on him and have success in that way. Where B.J. and Daley failed, Condit has the skill to capitalize and make Nick pay for his weaknesses.

    • krafty11 says:

didnt know that Aldo fought at WW?? must have missed that fight.. anyways, i dont think leg kicks will help much. he needs the early KO(easier said than done) or it will be a long night for Condit. in my opinion

      • JB Spencer says:

… and let alone nick diaz at ww. Mabee he matched the two of them against eachother on that new ufc ps3 game and is confusing video games wit reality. Unless that fight actually did happen and im just getn old, forgetin shit…

  16. Xaninho says:

Condit needs to work on Diaz legs and body if he wants to win. Throw multiple legkicks and take his skinny legs from under him.

    • slacker says:

Condit has much better footwork and head movement than Penn, Daley, or Cyborg. Everyone thinks Condit has to do this or that because they are picturing Diaz easily walking forward on him. But try a different picture: think of how Diaz is going to catch a guy with great circling movement, who is in and out with his strikes real quick, and who will take down Diaz’ lead leg when he steps forward with it, so over – exposed as he does. You don’t think Team Jackson isn’t going to learn from the 1st td. of the Penn fight and have Condit work take – downs and ground and pound too, as well as move forward on Nick? Also, while Condit doesn’t have triathlon cardio, he has great cardio! He will not gas in this fight as seen in his wars with Ellenberger and MacDonald. Diaz would have an advantage in cardio if it were a 10 rd. fight. But his extreme abilities in conditioning are for a 5 rd. MMA fight, superfluous and unnecessary. Bottom line: Don’t make a myth out of a guy who won a bunch of Strikeforce fights. This is the UFC and Condit has a nice “welcome package” just waiting for him..
