roy needs to embrace his jits
He has to be able to take to fight to the ground to embrace his BJJ. Roy is trapped in no mans land, too big for 205 and too small to bang with the skilled HWs. Roy is entertaining as hell to watch, and can take a punch like no other… but his days are numbered in the UFC… he’d be lucky to get another fight. Anyone in the top 10 would smash him… good luck Roy!
Man, big country need to win a fight, i always had big hopes for the guy but now i dont know what to think, What happened to his KO power he showed against Steffan Struve, and didnt he kick Kimbos ass in TUF. I rate Nelson pretty highly he’s a real warrior and tough guy but Werdum looked great. His striking is in a different league than it used to be, his clinch and knees were really effective. Looking forward to seeing who they throw him in with next. Maybe Mir would be a good test then he’s got to be up there for a shot.
Roy is a beast with an unbreakable chin. I hope he gets a new striking coach in between now and his next match. I think his opponents are wary of his counter right hand.
Roy Nelson should seriously consider the offer Mike Dolce made to him and drop mad weight.
