Phil Baroni destroys Rodrigo Ribeiro in 1 minute | MMA News
By: Chris Taylor
It took only a minute for Phil Baroni to put away Rodrigo Ribeiro at ONE FC 5 on Friday. The referee was forced to put a stop to the match due to some brutal soccer kicks delivered by the “New York Bad Ass”.
Baroni opened the match by landing a hard right hand that wobbled Ribeiro and had him immediately diving desperately for takedowns. The AKA product was able to negate the attempted takedowns from Ribeiro by displaying a good sprawl and utilizing a front head lock.
Ribeiro was unable to produce any offense and soon found himself on his back and pitted up against the fence. The end came soon after as Baroni unloaded with soccer kicks from the standing position. Ribeiro turtled up prompting referee Yuji Shimada to stop the bout.
With the win, Baroni snaps his two-fight losing streak and brings his professional MMA record to 15-15. He is now 1-1 under the ONE FC banner.

15-15 thats awful
Good because had it went 2 min he would have gassed.
15-15? no wonder i never heard of this guy.
I still laugh to myself when I remember Baroni declaring “I’m the best ever!”, after beating Bustamonte back in ’03. The New York Dumbass was always his own biggest fan.
I think you mean Dave Menne not Bustamante
Not sure why I put Bustamonte, but you’re 100% right. It was Menne.
Chant Baroni,Baroni! This guy has more guts than any other athlete on any planet! He’s been fighting with one arm tied behind his back, scared of nobody.no excuses, just waited and fought his way to this point. I’m without words to describe his courage,in the face of many disasters, none of which or your business.I’ll fight with him as my partner in any bunker, anywhere, anytime.America should pay attention,This man fights with the passion we should all have, and don’t.He is a true hero and role model for his country and family.deserves the purple heart, not for what he’s done in the military, rather what he has fought and endured as an American! We are running very short on heroes these days, yet we need look no farther.Phil, the New YorknBad ass Baroni is that hero.We should embrace that, and let our children and grandchildren know of him!……The real life Rocky!
