Featherweight’s Pearson & Swanson Will Meet At UFC on FX 4
The UFC has booked a featherweight bout for their fourth UFC on FX card set to take place in New Jersey.
The UFC announced this afternoon that both Ross Pearson and Cub Swanson have agreed to square off.
While not yet officially announced by UFC officials, UFC on FX 4 is expected to go down at The Revel Entertainment Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 22. In the headlining slot, top lightweight contenders Gray Maynard and Clay Guida will square off in a five-round affair.
“The Ultimate Fighter” season 9 winner will step inside the cage as a featherweight for the second time in his UFC career. He last saw action in his featherweight debut when he earned a decision victory over Junior Assuncao at UFC 141.
Swanson is a Team Jackson product who last saw action at UFC on FOX 2 when he took out George Roop via TKO. He has alternated wins and losses for nearly four years and a win over Pearson would mark the first streak since his early days in the WEC.
